He apologized and Nancy Reagan forgave him. If She isn't all upset why should we be?

Because Rush still has to earn a living - even when he's irrelevant.

Rush annoys me but he's hardly irrelevant. Until he doesn't have a ton of listeners and make a ton of money that is.
It's sort of like Sharpton. I'd guess most black people would say he is irrelevant, but until he stops being able to raise money he won't be.
Unfortunately media will eventually start picking at Obama. You just can't sell papers unless you go dirty.

I know you hate me but I think you will be surprised how much support I will give to the President. He's going to be my leader. If he does good then I will do good. It's that simple to me.

I will say Obama should be smarter then making a joke about a popular dead Presidents wife talking to him through clairvoyance.
Still though maybe Obama should do a seance. He could conjure up George Washington just see the look on his face that a black man is now President.

Money doesn't make one relevant...but the analogy between Sharpton and Limbaugh is an interesting one. I would say Limbaugh has his influence in the margins of his party, much like Sharpton. However I think Limbaugh has more influence than Sharpton. Having a daily radio broadcast heard by millions trumps making random media appearances only when you sense an opportunity to provoke people. Limbaugh is also white, so his influence is in the white community, which is 6 times the size of the black community, so obviously more sheer numbers of people listen to him. They're both numbskulls. Sharpton has pretty much been dismissed by most blacks having serious discussions about racial equality and Limbaugh is seen that way as well I think.
I'd like to see the two of them in a WWF steel cage match with Jerry Springer as the referee. ;D

If you read The Audacity of Hope, you'll find Obama actually credits Reagan with some fairly significant praise, something that first identified him to me as a different breed of leader than we've seen lately. It's not often you see politicians on either side acknowledge anything positive on the other side of the aise. He really is a new breed of cat.

I thought it was kinda funny. His ''mutt'' joke was kinda edgy too. He certainly didn't mean any harm by it.
