Well Obama is at the right time and place and it wouldn't have happened without W. Had Gore or Kerry won, then the Obama nomination would have to have waited possibly another generation because I can not envision a black presidential candidate with a muslim and foreign sounding name to be elected president by the majority of American people. Not that I didn't think it wouldn't have happened, I'm young enough to have expected it to eventually happen in my lifetime, just not now. So Obama when you thank family, friends and your campaign workers and volunteers remember to give a special thanks to W, whose utter failure that was his presidency begat you your presidency.
