Nice idea on thread Sassy. Imo Cowher is the type of guy Denver needs right now. I think now is the time if a change was made because we are young and have lots of holes.

I would agree but his scheme is really dependent on having those pass rushers. Even without Gap Tooth and Umenyora they still have Tuck and the rest. I really do not believe that it would work here. We gotta move Doom, he gets washed out of every single running play.
Mariucci as the head coach with Rod Marinelli has D-Cordinator and asst. Head coach.
Leave the GM duties to the personell staff in place (With Mooch having input) and let the coach handle the on field bussiness.

Coach Shanahan from 1997 and 1998 with Kubiak back as the OC.
Honestly I am tiring of the same ol same ol results. But while Cowher is a proven coach after that the list just doesn't wow me. Especially the Mariucci option.

I think Mariucci is a very underrated coach.
His problem, in my estimation, is that he lacks the stone cold killer instinct. But then again, that's why Shanahan is my top choice, regardless of the issues this team faces.

Bring in Parcells. Pay him what he wants. Let him bring in any coach he wants (including Shanahan if he wants) and let him hire the coordinators. Everybody's job is in question. And this should be done soon - as many of the players on this squad are not "Parcells type" of football players, especially on the defense. That could probably be said of any new defensive coordinator who would evaluate this squad.
Then put your time and efforts in FA and the draft. Look to bring in playmakers who play smashmouth football. Like they used to do in Denver "during the day".
In the meantime, I want to see more of Hillis, Nighttrain Torain, Larsen, Barrett and JMFW. We have some exciting young talent; time to get them some reps.

This guy Tree N. Out is an intriguing prospect for DC. And his son Nock M. Out, that apple didn't fall far from Tree.
