According to some guy on the team board who says he say the local (Den) CBS guy state this from the lockerroom.
Any of the locals here that?
That better ****ing not be true. There goes his Pro Bowl and there goes what's left of the defense as Champ is also probably out a few more games with his groin.

That sucks. Maybe Woodyard will get some playing time in his absence. Time to start looking at future talent on the team.

Adaptable LB Williams shines amid Broncos' porous defense
Nov. 2, 2008
Sources in Denver say Broncos WLB D.J. Williams is having a Pro Bowl-caliber season, but it’s been overshadowed by the defense’s dreadful performance. This year Williams moved to his third position in the LB corps in as many seasons, shifting from the middle to the weak side, but he hasn’t let the constant shuffling affect him.
After he struggled mightily to get pressure on the quarterback from the right side, the Chiefs have moved DE Tamba Hali back to his natural position at left end. Hali responded with a sack and five tackles in his first game there, making it an easy choice for the team to leave him on the left side going forward. Turk McBride will flip over and play right end.
Although the Chargers have been awful at stopping the pass this season, their run defense has significantly improved recently due to the terrific play of NT Jamal Williams. After dealing with knee issues early on, Williams, we hear, is back to full strength and looks as ferocious as ever, commanding double-teams and stuffing runners in their tracks.
With Darren McFadden sidelined by turf toe, Raiders RB Michael Bush has had a bigger role as the backup to Justin Fargas in recent weeks. However, we hear that if McFadden is able to recover and get back on the field, Bush may finally be moved to fullback. Oakland experimented with the idea, getting Bush some reps at fullback in practice in the preseason, and the thought came up again after FB Justin Griffith tore his ACL in Week Eight, but the move won’t be made until McFadden returns.

Grade I MCL Tear
This is an incomplete tear of the MCL. The tendon is still in continuity, and the symptoms are usually minimal. Patients usually complain of pain with pressure on the MCL, and may be able to return to their sport very quickly. Most athletes miss 1-2 weeks of play.
Grade II MCL Tear
Grade II injuries are also considered incomplete tears of the MCL. These patients may complain of instability when attempting to cut or pivot. The pain and swelling is more significant, and usually a period of 3-4 weeks of rest is necessary.
Grade III MCL Tear
A grade III injury is a complete tear of the MCL. Patients have significant pain and swelling, and often have difficulty bending the knee. Instability, or giving out, is a common finding with grade III MCL tears. A knee brace or a knee immobilizer is usually needed for comfort, and healing may take 6 weeks or longer.
Most patients with a grade I MCL tear will be able to return to sports within 1-2 weeks following their injury.
Grade II MCL Tears
When a grade II MCL sprain occurs, use of a hinged knee brace is common in early treatment. Athletes with a grade II injury can return to activity once they are not having pain over the MCL. Patients with a grade II injury often return to sports within 3-4 weeks after their injury.
Grade III MCL Tears
When a grade III injury occurs, patients usually wear a knee immobilizer and protect weight-bearing (crutches) for the first week to 10 days following injury. Patients should remove the immobilizer several times a day to work on bending their knee. After that time, the patient can begin wearing a hinged knee brace, and can begin to increase their range of motion in the knee. They can apply more weight to the knee as pain allows.
Once the patient can flex the knee at least to 100 degrees, they may begin riding a stationary bicycle. The crutches can be discontinued one the patient is able to walk without limping. Jogging can begin once the patient has regained 60% of their quadriceps strength (compared to the opposite side), and agility drills can begin one they have regained 80% of their strength. Complete rehab from a grade III MCL tear can take 3-4 months.
Is surgery ever needed for a MCL tear?
Some surgeons describe a so-called grade IV injury to the medial collateral ligament. This is also called a medial column injury, and involves injury to more ligaments than just the MCL. Whether or not to repair the MCL, even in these settings, is controversial. Some doctors prefer to allow all MCL injuries to heal without surgery, and some prefer to repair these most significant injuries to the MCL. No significant difference has been demonstrated in these patients.

I hope it's not true but I will wait till there is something more to go on then some guy on the team board who says he say the local (Den) CBS guy.
As soon as somebody gets some concrete info on this, please post right away. We'd like to know how serious this injury is. I watched that play a few times and I couldn't see anything obvious that would have been serious. Let's hope not.
And Bob can go blow himself. Bob, quit coming on here and being a dik. I'm sure you have other stuff to do, like going over all the players you guys might take with the 1st overall pick next year...............hahahahaha

Snakebit Broncos lose Williams, McCree on same play

It shouldn't be hard for the Broncos to stop their skid.
All they have to do is play at least the next three games without their two best defensive players: Champ Bailey and D.J. Williams. Maybe three games, maybe more.
That's all.
Bailey, the Broncos' all-pro cornerback, didn't play Sunday in a 26-17 loss to Miami because of a strained groin and is expected to be sidelined another three to five weeks.
Williams, the Broncos' weakside linebacker who was among the league's leading tacklers, suffered a sprained left knee ligament while "holding" Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown to an 18-yard gain on a third-and-19 screen pass.
The best-case scenario for Williams is he's out three weeks. However, he told teammates he felt a pop in his knee, and if tests today reveal a tear, he could be finished for the season.
Afterward, Williams declined to comment before hobbling out on crutches.
"Even with losing great players like that, it happens to everybody in this league," Broncos defensive lineman Ebenezer Ekuban said. "If people just step up and play as well as they're capable — not try to be those guys, but play to their ability — we'll be fine."
The screen pass from Chad Pennington to Brown will go down as among the costliest plays of the Broncos' season. The Dolphins were clinging to a 19-17 lead with 6:37 remaining and the ball at their own 47. Brown gained just enough for Dolphins coach Tony Sparano to go for it on fourth down. The Dolphins picked it up and later scored the clinching the touchdown.
Besides Williams, Broncos safety Marlon McCree suffered a sprained ankle while trying to chase down Brown on the screen.
"I got cut-blocked, and the son of a gun tried to roll up on me," McCree said.
He will have an MRI today, and while it's unlikely he'll play Thursday at Cleveland, he believes he can be ready for the game Nov. 16 at Atlanta.
In all, the Broncos will have four starters missing — strongside linebacker Boss Bailey suffered a season-ending knee injury two weeks ago — from a defense that had been maligned in recent weeks but played inspired in holding the Dolphins to 75 yards rushing on 29 carries Sunday.
"A tough game," McCree said. "We played hard, though."

This sucks. Not because of the injuries but because Shanahan will point to them as an excuse for the team sucking and expect a pass. "Anytime you lose two pro-bowlers your defense is going suffer." Yeah keep sticking up for that tool Slowick, Shanny.:bomb:

Exactly and once again we'll get the seasonal note of how different it could've been had our starters stayed healthy.
Personally I'm getting a little bit sick of Mr Groundhog Day Shanahan. We've got fresh blood on the field maybe it is time to get some fresh blood at the top of the coaching chain. Thanks for all the memories and that but if he can't win now or even soon what's the ****ing point in him being here??? Is it just to remind fans how good this organisation was 10-12 years ago???

I hope we put him on IR and keep him out of the season. I wouldn't want anything worse happening to one of our best defensive players. Let him heal up, and he'll be back next season, hopefully with a better coach.
