Another "Heckuva Job Brownie" story from BushCo (too busy protecting Big Pharma.)

The FDA was warned that a popular chemical, BPA, used to line baby bottles was unsafe by the National Toxicology Review Board. But the FDA ignored their warnings and declared the chemical safe.

Silly me - I forgot: Republicans only care about babies before they are born.

The FDA didn't drop the ball on this one, no way. The information around BPA is about as sketchy as it gets. Concluding that it is a significant toxin is very premature IMO.

That said safer alternatives should be used - and are widely available for use. In this respect I do think that BPA should be eliminated however claiming there is credible evidence that it needs to be removed is suspect IMO.
