Still I understand if he was limited but there are important questions that HAD to be asked. I mean seriously does he like Gladiator Movies, and has he ever been in a Turkish prison. The balance of the season is hangs on these answers.

Also if you read the what to ask thread. The majority of the responses were in the realm of tell him to hang in there. So he went with majority!

Everything is ok in moderation but it sounds like Jay doesn't like moderation. Both on the field and at the bars! Its his health that makes me shake my head. If he wasn't diabetic I could care less what he does in his off time as long as he isn't breaking the law or putting people in harms way.

I don't think it's the same at all. The "Donks" is basically an insult towards our team. The "beetus" is a funny term poking fun at this guy (as I'm sure you and everyone else knows):

Well, speaking from personal experience ( having Type 1 'beetus') - I drink beer quite frequently - about everyday, usually get hammered once every couple of weeks. I love beer, I'm not dead yet, and actually maintain good health. As I'm getting older (38, been diabetic since I was 19) I'm drinking less because of my hangover recovery time - sure a glass of red wine before bed might be healthier, but I love beer unrequitedly.

Actually alcohol causes a hypoglycemic effect for diabetics. So it can be quite deceiving, and in many cases mistakingly self justifiable. Moderation is key, I actually used to get hammered 3-4 nights a week in college and grad school and maintained normal blood glucose levels.

A co-worker lost his best friend to Type 1 diabetes. He was diligent about his blood sugar levels and lived a healthy life. He died in his sleep. Turns out his sugars were dropping to low and he went into a coma. That sad part is he was a notoriously restless sleeper and his girlfriend just thought it was another typical night and slept on the couch. Just can't risk anything with this disease.

So after all the 4 pages of love here, did anyone who saw Cutler actually ask any productive questions?

Well now we need to know if he prefers Diabetes or Beetus. Cutlerfan find out STAT

Shortening 'diabetes' to 'beetus' doesn't bug me....but shortening names of cities drives me crazy. ;D

only if you are from Frisco. You must not be CR because everything from the hood (see that was shortened) is cut down. The LB (Long Beach), LA (los angeles), the OC (orange county), etc. just around me. If saying Diego does piss them off, then we should adopt it like I call San Francisco, Frisco or Pinkos.

you still have to take care of yourself playing in the NFL like he is and a season as long as it is . Cutler no longer drinks I promise you .

umm I promise you he does and enough to get drunk.

You have a problem if Sadaam is one of you heros.

Maybe you're just a little too narrow minded. Saddam was a very successful individual.

I don't bye he has $$$ on the line and I bet he thinks about what happened last year 35 pound weight loss had to scare him to death .

If you have diabetes and run down you system little thing can kill you . you know like playing in a blizzard or heat that would make you want to play in a freezing Drizzle . Something tells me he is trying to be as good as possible .

mr007;2142194 I had a person I love die from this **** and she did not take care of her self she died at 36 but she almost died at 22 and it was from the flue . so all this talk about Cutler getting drunk is BS unless you got something to add like proof you are wasting peoples time .

I think people forget that these guys have to practice in the heat and cold every day and if you add in what jay is going threw I doubt he is tipping and if he is I bet it is very seldom .

Ha I know you hate the Broncos and Mike Shanahan but because the kid likes to be a kid doesn't make him a drunk. Continue with your hate you are replacing Wolf rather well.

Sorry you had someone die from it, but I was having shots with the guy so pretty sure it's not BS. There's no real difference between alcohol and other sugars... the disadvantage is you may not know the effect alcohol is having on your blood sugar, which I'm pretty sure Jay is very conscious of.

Ohh and FYI straight from a medical web page:

"While alcohol is a concentrated source of calories, it is not converted into sugar by your body. Therefore, gin, rum, vodka, etc. do not raise blood sugar. Carbohydrate in alcoholic beverages (sugar, fruit juice, malt) can raise blood sugar, but not the alcohol. For example, a 12 ounce of beer has about 13 grams of carbohydrate (malt). Sweet liqueurs have sugar added. The calories of alcohol are utilized in the form of alcohol. If you take insulin or certain medications to control diabetes, however, drinking alcohol can put you at risk for low blood sugar. This is especially true if you drink on a empty stomach or don't have adequate carbohydrates because alcohol reduces your body's ability to mobilize glucose from storage. "

Hold on here, do we have anyone here that can confirm Cutler has been drinking, post-diabetes? I, like others, have heard the stories of he and BMarsh tanked downtown before his diagnosis but wanted to see if someone can confirm he's still doing this.

Yes, a number of times since the beginning of the season, he's always downtown. Look, it's his body, I'm sure he knows what he's doing. It's not like he's trying to be secretive about it.

It wasnt the pic that proved anything, it was the comments about Rivers and Orton I thought were funny. (and its not darts, its beer pong/beruit)

So its easy to take a picture of a guy catching him with his eyes closed. Plus its his bye week. These pics don't stress me out but he should be careful with the beetus.
