View Full Version : Matt Cassell - 139 QB rating
That's all I wanted to say. Pretty sad. He hasn't started a game previous to this year since High School.

Well, we are really good at ONE thing: making mediocre, and worse, QB's look really good. At least there's that.
double it up: we've allowed 250 yds rushing.
This personally is a worse loss than the Detroit game last year. Backup QB, former AFC favorite that we've owned.
I just don't see how they come back from this game.

Every team we've played has had a qb with over a 100 rating on this piss poor d except for Tampa.

We make Damon Huard look like HOF material so what'd you guys expect? I for one expected this type of game out of cassel and the D didn't disappoint, lol. Ah well.

Champ looked awesome to start the game then he went out and we died.
also, what the hell is with all the groin injuries on this team? are our trainers not making sure our players are properly warmed up and stretched before the game?
I'm just sick at this loss. The team didn't show up at all. The fans deserve a better show than this.
There is a lack of heart that has shown up now a few times over the past few seasons. It isn't just the defense either.
We stood on a stage with a team that was used to it, injuries and all, and they pounded us relentlessly gloating all the way through it. I don't know how some of these guys don't feel more of an emotional pull when you are getting flat out dominated? I don't get that. This team quit. It's plagued by stupid (sometimes phantom) penalties and plays.
Where do they go from here? How do you quit like this almost two weeks in a row (2nd half of jacksonville) and 3 out of the last 4... KC is lumped in there as well. I don't get it.
I'm just looking at all things considered and this loss is a backbreaker. Yes, we're still in the division lead but almost by default. SD will wake up too. Just like did last year. The only thing I can really see saving us this season is Torain coming out and looking like beast from the HB spot. I won't even say that Pittman has been bad but we need somebody to set the tempo and take the pressure off Jay throwing it as much as he has. Obviously, he can't handle the workload. Neither can the receivers.
Not much we can do for the defense. Save up a crap load of bank and hope Tennessee is stupid enough to let Haynesworth go free and then sign him up. We need some attitude on this defense. We have Webster and that's about it. People run around scott free, rushing for yards, catching everything. Nobody gets in anybody's ass for it either. Champ is too soft spoken. DJ isn't a vocal guy either. Webster talks a lot makes a good play and then misses the next two.
How do you get blown out when Matt Cassell is the QB of the opposing team? HE HASN'T STARTED SINCE HIGH SCHOOL! Holy hell.
My last rant is for Cutler to sit down, shut up, stop talking about how strong your arm is and just play the game. I liked him better when he didn't say anything. Now he's just running off at the lip about everything because he experienced a little success.

You said it a few weeks ago, boss. Our defense makes all-pros out of every ****ing QB we face. You name the QB, they have career days against us.

I was tempted to pick him up for my fantasy team this week and start him over Cutler, but didn't have the guts.
Going into tonight's game, I only needed 15 pts to win and I had Cutler, Marshall, Prater and DJ Williams going. I figured I would have that by the middle of the first quarter. How wrong I was.
If it wasn't for DJ's ridiculous tackle total, I would've lost. Unreal.

I needed 35. Had Cutler, Pittman and Prater. Seemed very doable going in.
Pffft.

I always omit the Detroit loss because we were without Cutler for a half, but it was up there as far as all-time "classics."
Still, the SD game at home last year remains the most disgusted I've been in any Broncos team in 30 years. I've never seen so much quit.
I still say tonight was more bad luck and bad players than quit. But, there was certainly some quit after the offense continued to put us in hole after hole.

139 against the Broncos is like -459 against any other defense.
