Wow. Well that sucks. I always thought he was a good coach. I'd love him to run the 3-4 here.

Mike Singletary is going to take over for him.

Yeah, I'd love to see him run the D here...But I say that about everyone.

Bring him in he would go for atleast 2000 yards in our system.

Actually I would love to fit that guy in somewhere.

Wow, Nolan is a much better coach than Herm, Norv or Wade.

For some reason, I see Singletary and Martz mixing like oil and water. Like Chuck Norris and Jerry Lewis. Like Hank Kissinger and Carrot Top.

Sports radio here has announced the same info.

Why let it leak before the game? Makes no sense.

They could've told Nolan now, and not everyone else(not that they officially announced it or anything, but they could've kept a lid on it).

Probably the same reason Oakland waited to fire Kiffen and the Rams with Linehan. After next week the 49ers have their bye.

Ah then I wouldn't coach worth **** on Sunday if I was Nolan. In Fact I would bench all the starters and play the backups.

Some Front offices like to make a public statement ( it keeps the fan base interested) and buying tickets in the hope the replacement will be so sort of gift from god.

KC FO does it all the time just ask 2x4..

People always blame the coach, too funny. It's never the front offices fault, no not them, never.

Now according to ESPN, he may be fired tonight due to the leak.

Must think that this will lead to the "Haslett effect" similar to the Rams turn-around.

What is the record for coaches fired during the year? Surely Lewis and Crennel are on their way out too?

Rod Marinelli could get axed any day now, too.

Singletary in! I have no opinions of him because I dont know enough about his coaching experience...but he was the most intense player besides Lott I ever saw.

These guys are just ripping into the 49ers.

I really like Singletary. Could be fun to watch him on the sidelines this year. The local Fox affiliate only shows 9er games.
