Does anyone know the status of these guys? What about Boss? Any news?

There were a few blurbs in the denverpost this morning, I think it said Royal is a maybe, but it sounds like Boss and Scheff didn't practice. Sorry no time to grab the link!

I believe Royal was a full participant in practice. Sheff and Young were limited and Boss and Stokely didn't practice.

Royal said his ankle feels much better and had Full Participation. Scheffler was very limited and on the radio they made it sound like he barely practiced.
Stokely isn't sure whether he suffered his 8th or 10th concussion. Which is pretty scary because what about 9th? Coach said he is getting better but still is foggy.

Ugh... imagine going to NE with Marshall, Jackson, Jackson and Martinez as the targets for Jay... I hope Royal and/or Stokes can play.

Royal feeling better.
Rookie wide receiver Eddie Royal, who missed the Jacksonville game because of an ankle injury, said his chances were good to play Monday.
"I feel good," Royal said. "I feel a lot better than I did last week."
Royal injured his ankle on a punt return against Tampa Bay.
Footnotes.
Tight end Tony Scheffler and running back Selvin Young were limited in their first practice back since suffering groin injuries against Tampa Bay. . . . Linebacker Boss Bailey (ankle) and receiver Brandon Stokley (concussion) did not participate. Shanahan said Stokley "seems to improve a little bit" each day and will continue to be evaluated. . . . In addition to Royal, defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban (groin) and defensive tackle (Josh Shaw) were back at practice.

I believe that Royal should be a go. I think Stokley, and Sheff are going to be game time decisions.

I'd take Jay throwing to those 4 guys over what we had the last time we went into Gillette....
Plummer was throwing to Javon Walker, a gimpy Rod Smith, David Kircus and Stephen Alexander. Walker was the only one with over 40 yds.

His ankles must be complete trash. Has there been a game this year where he didn't get hurt and caused an injury timeout?

CBS4's report last night implied Royal should go but Stokely, Scheffler and Boss are really iffy. Nothing on Selvin.

Scheff will hopefully be back after the bye. I wouldn't expect them to have him go. They'll want to give him an extra week at least.

That was my first thought too ... but didn't Scheff lose his starting job - while healthy - to Jackson?
And we could always toss a few balls Graham's way. Ferhevvinsake, he caught 30+ balls for 7 TDs from Tom Brady a couple years ago. He's a SERIOUS red zone threat as we saw Sunday.... why don't we use him more?

If Jackson is the "starter" over Scheff he doesn't have the catches or yards to show it. Only Royal, Marshall and Stokely have more of each than Scheff.

I think at one point during preseason Nate was the #1 TE, but Scheff had the job opening night in Chokeland

It wouldn't shock me if Royal had the bigger game. Marshall was looking worn out after the Jags game.

Well he'll have an extra day off and he missed the last MNF game. I would bet Marshall goes hard for us Monday night.

I noticed that too. Wtf was Marshall so tired? He had that one -10 yard loss that he ran a lot on but still? He seemed spent that game. Nothing like the article we read that said he could run for days.

I'm hoping we'll see a deep ball to Royal at some point.
If he's 100% he's got the speed to torch NE's secondary. As impressive as Eddie has been, I'd love to see him start to establish himself as a proper hom run threat on the deep ball as the season goes on. For all Cutler's arm strength, we've not had any massive TD plays where Jay has thrown it completely over the heads of the D yet this year. Scheff at Oakland was the closest so far, but he got chased down.

Eddie Royal (ankle) returned to Broncos practice in full Wednesday.
It appears sitting out Week 6 benefited Royal immensely. The crafty rookie has a good chance to start on Monday Night Football against the Patriots. New England has been having trouble covering in the back end of late. | 10/15/2008 7:35:00 PM

He said it happened on the first catch. After the third catch the defender just tapped his helmet to make sure he was down and it was unbearable.
