2 which were absolutely worng that had a direct impact on the game! First the call on Bly on 3rd and 17 where Bly was tackled, J'Ville proceeds to get a touchdown on that drive. Then the bullshlt pass interference on 2nd and 9 on the Jags last drive.
We might not have won the game had those cals went the other way, and the Marshall fumble probably had a bigger impact on the game then the 2 calls, but the 2 calls did have a MAJOR impact on this.
**** everyone! Just gonna be a bad bad week now.

Its hard to blame the refs when Marshall fumbles on the 5 yd line and Cutler fumbles on a drive that was looking to have promise. The INT was essentially a punt so won't complain.
But there was some horrid calls today. If Denver hadn't turned it over on 2 crucial drives I would be right there with you.

The turnovers happened early enough that they had some impact in not getting points. Throw in the missed 4th and 1, and the O had a sh*tty day for sure. But the two calls referenced above were in the second half, that smothered chances for the Broncos to get the ball back. Those were more critical calls than the fumbles and the int.
Payback for Sandy Eggo? Don't know, but those calls were atrocious.....

We also stepped on our dicks when we had a chance to move the ball and tie the game up. Yes, we got bad calls... but would the offense have done any different THOSE times if we got the ball back? Who knows.

It evened out. When we got off the field the prior time, one of the safeties had interfered on their 3rd down play that was called incomplete when it should have been PI.
The refs are the last people that anyone should be bitching at.

True. But the h3ll of it is, we will never know.....
Now I hope the Pats help us out....
Anybody know how to get hold of the refs before that game? I figure a fiver might help.....

I agree---This is now a wash with the SD Game as far as I am concerned. The 'karma gods' now are done with us........
I will say though, this was a payback game for the SD one. Not blaming the loss on those plays but they were huge calls and basically there was nothing there to them. Just kept Jacksonville on the field longer.

I'm not even going to blame it on the refs because I'm better than a sparklers fan.

We should have had more points on the board so the calls wouldn't even be a discussion.

Exactly. This is what seperates us from Chargers fans, we know there's going to be bad calls in every game.

There were some bad calls, but you gotta overcome those. We decided to lay an egg after those calls on the drives.
Heck, IMO we left 10 points out there at least by going for it on 4th and 1 and the fumble by Marshall at the 5.

But yet, this is still a "makeup game"?
Also, if that's the case, when do we get our "makeup" win??

I just wonder about officiating this year in general. It seems to be pretty poor. On the whole we have benefited but still.

You got yours last year versus the Colts. Did you forget about that game? No idea if we would have won this one but the fact remains is that was one horrible call but it only sets up 3 and 9. Jags might had to punt if they dont make it and then we still need to score without giving up a turnover. There was more to this game than that call. No one at the Broncos bar made much of a stink concerning it to cost us the game. It just cost us the chance to tie the game (or win it Mike decides to go for two).

and the chuggers had 3 shots to stop us after that call.
These 2 calls had a big impact on the game, probably just as big as the call Hoculi made. Therefore, this makes up for it. Hopefully there are no more horribly officiated games (unless they benefit us) the rest of the season.

Hopefully you guys get screwed by the refs 2 or 3 more times this year.

The calls were bad, but had Marshall and Cutler not fumbled, we should have rolled this game. Whatever, we're still alright. Hopefully Marshall learns to protect the ball and go down sooner after this.

Karma, but also out of wide recievers. No Stokley, Royal, or Shef.

For the first time this season our below average safeties , both make a good play on a receiver just to get a flag thrown for no apparent reason to me, or everyone else that saw it. That's frustrating .

Teams fault for putting themselves in a position where a bad call could **** them.
Thats all.

To me it's not so much about blaming the loss on something (team is obviously fully to blame), but about the state of officiating in the league. It's just sad to see it get worse and worse by the week. What ever happened to letting the players decide the game?

I watched five or six games today and the officiating was embarrasingly bad in quite a few of them. It has been a terrible season thus far by the zebras.

You mean in the first game? The refs screwed the Chargers raw in the playoff rematch.

The phantom holding call on Clady that negeated a 10+ yard run by Pittman that set up 3rd and 7 and the INT was horrible too.
However, I felt the 15 yarder for the hit out of bounds was hardly that. Our guy tripped over a calbe for crying out loud.
The refs were pretty bad in my estimation, but I can't say they cost us the game. I'll go ahead and credit that to the fumbles, and our D's inability to get any pressure on any QB ever.

Dude, the refs suck in virtually everygame, that's why you have to take it out of their hands. Again, we lost, **** it, press on and come back with a healthy team to be the patsies.
