Ok AK. I don't think the world is going to end just yet.
First question as I've been on the sidelines for along time. What online trader do you recommend? I really don't want or need advice from the Merril Lynch experts. Ha!

whoever is the cheapest, and depends on what you want to do.
I use Ameritrade..been with them since the Datek days. I also like that they now have a brick and mortar operation near by. This way I can dig up the cans of money I've burried for margin calls,
for options i like www.thinkorswim.com, and thier platform has pretty colors. :approve:

I've actually done that. I was buying old schwins for like 20 bucks that people undervalue at the swap meet. They are easily worth 100+ or more fixed up. As far as cans go I bought a never opened box of Broncos Crush cans. The complete set was sitting in someone's basement. When the dollar becomes totally worthless (according to baja) I'm betting that there is a Broncos fan out there who'd be willing to trade one can for a chicken.
Ameritrade eh? That should work. thanks

I suggest putting your money in ammo. The tougher times get, the better you do.

I know some guys killing it in the market selling on the surges and buying on the big dips. These dudes have money to play with though and big balls.

Im not killing it, but in the green for the year. This is what will happen..eveyone is freaking out and selling driving everything down..those same people will dive back in when it moves up. actually losing money, but driving it up higher for those people getting in at lows, before this whole thing falls apart next year again.

Stay away from schwab's aggressive growth plan. I'm down 29.5% for the year. Luckily, it's mostly house money anyway.

The opposite works well, too.... and may be at least as effective a 'strategery'. :-*

there are some damn good bargins with some sectors of the market down 30%. Alot of the high flying commodities have come back to earth enough to start buying.
