Pretend you get to be Shanny for the year and Bowlen has asked you to write a serious memo to the denfensive players that heads are gonna roll if this tragic defensive nightmare continues.
Here's mine:
To all my beloved defensive players, this is to notify you that the Broncos organization and staff have decided to introduce a new policy due to lack of performance. From this point forward, a bi-weekly player lottery will occur. Everother week there will be a drawing of a player name from a hat. The criteria for names being put in that hat are as followed....
* The defensive player who has the worst individual stats over a 2 week period will be cut from the team and replaced with a Broncos fan. A fan lottery will happen every other week and the winner will earn the NFL minimum base salary and the open roster spot.
* Furthermore, any Definslive Linemen that doesn't at least TOUCH the opposing teams QB's jersey at least once during the game (prior to play ending whistle) automatically will have his name entered into the hat. Any Linebacker who doesn't have at least 4 solo tackles will have his name entered into the hat. Any member of the secondary who allows more then 1 TD pass to a WR that he is covering, will have his name put in the hat.
* In addition, if the Defense as a collective gives up 250 yards in a single quarter again, or gives up more then 45 points in any game, all members of the Defense will have their name go in the hat.
Note - Champ Baily and DJ Williams are exempt from this new policy.
