This has been one of the strangest weeks in recent memory. I have been in a funk at home, at work and around friends. It has been a long time since I have taken a loss this poorly. Even the Chicago game from last year did not produce the type of melancholy I have felt since Sunday. I'm just numb.

I have gone AWOL from the Mane mostly because I want to get the negative feelings out of my mind, which is tough becuase this place went apesh*t after the KC game. Seriously, people were coming unglued and making outrageous claims...things like, Jay Cutler invented the question mark...and Shanahan accused chestnuts and his defensive coordinator of being lazy. The sort of general lamaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

Okay, I got off on a Dr. Evil tangent there, but the bottom line is that I am feeling much better now and am beginning to embrace this upcoming game. I'd like to think Denver is gonna come out pissed and take their frustration out on the Bucs. Only time will tell...

The narcolepsy comment made me think of the first Austin Powers movie when Dr. Evil and Scott visit the group therapy session. Dr. Evil says that his father had low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. Oh hell...
