Why dont we use Champ a little wiser?

It seems he never moves from the LCB spot. Sure he shuts down half the field, but why dont we use him on th opposing teams best WR? Bowe had a field day with Bly and Williams, so why not move him onto Bowe.

Cant we let Champ man up and play zone with the rest of the secondary?

Use him like a box-and-one defense from college basketball. That is, everyone else plays zone and Champ man's up on the opposing offenses best weapon.

I loved Deion Sanders comments about playing defense... when the coaches were putting in a defensive game plan.. Deion would tell them something to the effect of...'You'all worry about that 3-4 or 4-3 stuff... I will just cover this part of the field'.

He would fail. Its Champ that dictates he only play LCB. Part of coaching is creating mis-matches, not hiding your best player by having him cover the Devard Darlings' of the world

So essentially if you're the opposing team, and its 3rd and long and you need a 1st down just run your best reciever to the left side of the offense and you won't have to worry about Champ Bailey. Great.

Exactly! Opposing coaches are supposed to work hard to create mis-matches. Instead Broncos just give them away. Oh and if your team has two good WRs', just play 3 WR set with your scrub in the slot. Bly always plays the slot and Baily always plays LCB. Yes that means its Paymah or a 4th round rookie covering your #1 or #2 without doing a damn thing to earn it.
