These cats can play. Boss has played pretty well over the past two games, and was the best LB out there for the Broncs Sunday.

At first glance, Champ and Boss were easily our top 2 defensive players vs. KC. Boss made some nice plays in pursuit of the backs and helped account for the relatively quiet performance of Tony Gonzalez.

It seemed like those two guys were the only players that made the types of defensive plays that contribute to wins out there.

Boss was better today. Wasn't impressed with him the past couple of weeks.

Champ is just Champ. No better compliment to pay him than that.

That is about all anyone can say Popps....next thread. And dumb topic.

I think Boss made his big brother proud of him. The rest of the defense...not so much...:loser:

Outside of Champ I dont really think you can say any of the efencive players were great today. Boss did have his best game as a Bronco but when we give up 197 to LJ I have a hard time acknowledging any of our linebackers.

Fair enough.

I did notice that their blockers were able to get a block and move to the second-level with regularity.

Our DL still stinks.

I have no real issues with our LB's, I dont particularly like Nate, but he is servicable. Our D-line blows and our Safeties are both huge liabilities.

Exactly...our Safties are both very slow and don't have great coverage abilities.

Webster is serviceable, but at the end of the day, you want your MLB to be a huge ****ing beast! If Webster can make the big plays, then of course he deserves it. Be he does not blitz with intensity and blow up the LOS.

The problem I also had was we only heavily blitzed 2 or 3 times today...that is IT.

Agreed about the LBs. Their speed is about the only thing opposing offense need to gameplan around. Champ is of course amazing. But the Safeties are just lost out there, the rest of the DBs don't make plays, and the DL is only good at run pursuit.

The blitz has been atrocious, and the Safeties and corners are playing so bad they almost automatically result in big plays. We should be disguising pressure more and the LBs need to get a better feel for how to beat blocking assignments. There's more to rushing the QB than pure athleticism. I don't think these guys get this yet. That includes the D-Line.

Boss had a good game, but has been sorely dissapointing prior to this game. I'll be more impressed if he can keep it up the rest of the year.

Won't matter with our horrendious DL though.

Champ and Bly made more plays in the backfield then anyone in the front 7. that says something about them and our front 7. Boss played solid but he was due.

Boss played better in this game than any of the others that he has played in.. but he does have a hand in giving up all those yards to LJ.

Champ was giving his all.. like he always does. My only beef is he doesn't pump up his teammates to get the job done.. he is more of a leader by example. Which tends to led other players looking for Champ to make the play.. make the tackle.

If this was a good game by Boss, than he sucks something awful. Great play on the touchdown catch to Tony G. I mean WTF, that sucked, I thought Boss was fast?

When Peterson & Engleburger and an undersized Dum are your starting Dline you are going to get run on. Get used to it folks. Run blitz package coming right up.

Boss IMHO made several nice tackles in the flat that could have spelled serious trouble.

I agree that Boss made some nice tackles, but it doesn't excuse the other crap out there. If someone only does 20% of their job, but does that 20% well, they would be fired.

Just saying I don't get the praise.

Really, I mean, how can a guy get beat by a future Hall of Famer making a great catch?

Get real.

I am sorry I didn't know there were so many excuses for bad plays as long as you make a couple tackles elsewhere. My bad, he is great you are right. Look at the impact he has had on the D. Give it a rest, if Detroit doesn't want you back that says something. That play was a back breaker. Champ should slap him upside the head.

He did everything he could. It was a good pass where only Tony could get it and he came down with the play. You win some and lose some. Overall I thought Boss won more than he lost yesterday

What? Tony Gonzales beat him for a TD? Wow, when you get beat by scrubs like that, you must suck.
