Never been to Turkey or the Dead sea, although I know people that have gone to Turkey and really like it.

Italy has some great places to visit. October should be nice, because the Italians are back from holiday and and it want be too hot (considering few places will have A/C).

Are you going to do sightseeing as well as visit meditation chapels? If so, visiting the Duomo in Milan, the Sistine Chapel in Rome, along with many other great spots in Rome is well worth the time spent.

They have restored the building (damaged in WWII, I believe) where the Last Supper is painted. There is an amazing amount of art, architecture and culture in Italy.

If you like 'Hot' women, then I am pretty sure October is one of the fashion weeks in Milan, so it will be a little crowded, but there will be many amazing women walking the piazzas.

As you know if you bought Euros, the dollar has been week against the Euro for 4 or so years now. Lately, the exchange has been bouncing between $1:40 and $1:60 for each Euro. It makes most things in Europe very expensive for us Americans.

My friend lives in Israel, has been to Turkey. He knows I like Greek Archeology so I was surprised to find out more Greek ruins in Turkey then in Greece. He sent me some pics I wish I had saved of the temples at Didyma. I don't know if your into stuff like that but it's like the size of a couple football fields and very impressive.

Well, that's good. not sure if you will be staying in real hotels, or temple lodges or something. In many Euro hotels, Internet access can be as much as 30 Euros a night, which is around $45. Damn expensive place.

I have a lot friends that live or travel to Costa Rica and it has become ridiculously expensive. People are looking into Bolivia.

My thinking has changed I am going to move back to the US after this trip. I think as bad as it might get a rural place in the US might be best after all.
