I hear what your saying Doom, I'm seeing more love with the fans as well up a little north from you
Yeah, some of us worry about the team and are viewed as more pessimistic and some of us are viewed more as optimists. But whatever we want to say about one another, those of us who have been consistently posting here over the last year can definitely say they're not bandwagon jumpers.
BTW, I had the "go broncos" stuff here in Chicago after week 1. The offense is definitely getting attention nationally and its a team thats generally considered fun to watch. Probably too fun for some of us thanks to our _efense but to others, the Denver game is fun to watch.

I don't see any love. But its because I am in Denver and nothing would get done if every fan stopped to comment to another! ;D
The best is being at the games though its always fun to hang out with random fellow fans.

I was walking down town with my Broncos T on and I got positive remarks from people walking around. Also, I'm seeing more Broncos jerseys in the public. It seems to me that more people, ie the casual fan, are popping up.

Their are a lot of Bronco fans in Southern California.
More now than in the last three years or so.
Hooters in Anaheim is the offical meeting place, more like a brother hood.
Back when we would post up at a Steelers bar with some Bronco hotties.
I love the SD tailgates every year, I have met some real die hards.

The KC game?
I don't know, either Hooters or a friends house.
Hooters can be costly with food and all.
I grab a 12er and some brats, I'm a happy man.
How far are you from the OC?

I understand what you're trying to say, but establishing your point on who's posted here over the last year doesn't really attest to a fan's loyalty. I've only posted on here since July, but posted regularly on another board for three years before that, and I don't feel that either of those credentials attest to my dedication to the Broncos.
What does is that I've been a fan since I was 5 or 6 in the early 80s. I've lived and did by how the Broncos have performed for close to 30 years. I've gone into every season feeling that somehow we were going to win the big one even though every one said we couldn't.
Posting on a forum has very little to do with my fandhood other than to give me an outlet for discussing my Broncs now that I live on the East Coast.

Yep, it's something a lot of Broncos' fans don't appreciate, especially the younger ones, which is that as Broncos' fans we have been pretty lucky. While we have only had two SB wins, and 5 appearances in the last 20 odd years (one before that), and haven't done much in the playoffs lately, the fact is that every year we have a team that is more than likely going to win more games than it loses, and 'could' be in the playoffs and go from there.
Most fans, don't have that every year. They might root for a team that has gone three, four or five years since they were even .500. While as fans, of course we want more and we want to win it all, the fact is that us Broncos' fans are very lucky to have a team that is competitive year in and year our.

1. Im not trying to say anything. I am, in fact, saying it.
2. At no point did I question anyones loyalty for not posting here within the past year. I dont know where you get that.

Bandwagon fans have found there way back to Denver.
I wonder how many cheered for San Diego last season?

A few years ago I used to see alot of bronco fans at the store and other places. Funny that for the last couple of years everyone else seems to have disappeared. I'm not looking forward to seeing them jump back on the wagon if we have a good year. Because it will make me look like a bandwagoner too if all these jerseys keep popping up.
I've been seeing alot of jets fans lately, Farve has brought those fans out of the woodwork.

Who gives a damn about how bandwagon fans the Broncos have. I have been a Broncos fan my entire life, my heart has stopped a thousand times watching them play. I have been so happy I could cry and so disappointed I cried. I skipped school to go to the Super Bowl parades. I named my dog Elway. When I was in the Marine Corps and standing post I would call my dad and have him put the phone next to the radio so I could hear the 850 KOA broadcast (despite my hatred for Dave Logan). I am as hard core of a Broncos fan as there is. I've been dreaming of a Broncos tattoo when they win another Super Bowl.
Who cares if some people jump on the bandwagon? Can we just welcome them to Broncos Country? They might not be here next year, but who cares if the person in the bar next to you is cheering for Jay, and gives you a high five when he connects for 6...who cares? So what if they haven't been there for all the agony (aka 2007), or all the pain. There are here now, lets drink some beer with them and enjoy the moment.
They don't know the draft class, they don't know who Jim Bates is, I don't give a damn. Yes there are hard core fans, casual fans, and bandwagon fans. But we are all cheering for the Broncos and that's what matters...GO BRONCOS!

I wasn't calling them bandwagoners, I was just making an observation.
I see and hear more people now representing.
Why would they jump on just for a 3-0 start?

There was one or two reference to bandwagon fans, I will save this post for later in the season. If you wanted a bandwagon to jump on the Broncos look pretty promising.

My problem is with the ones that were here but seem to have vanished for the past couple of seasons. Pick a team and stick with it.
It's fine to jump on a bandwagon when you are young and are just getting into the game of football but not when you are a grown man.

No fair weather, bandwagon Broncos fans where I'm at...the bandwagon types here are all too busy hopping on the Bills bandwagon. Sometimes, living here does have it's advantages.

Living in So. Cal. all the liquor stores, Walgreens, Supermarkets, fairs, vendor lots are nothing but Faiders gear. The funny thing is, its still sitting there unsold. It really is an eyesore to the communities and should be bulldozed under.
Although in the high desert where I live, I see more Bronco fans than any other team. Some disgruntled Chargers fans too though. :~ohyah!:

I lived in KC for years back a couple of years ago. I have never heard about that. Now I live in Oakland but am amazed by the amount of people admitting the Broncos are good.

Hummmmmm Win an extra game or 2, still no playoffs or getting the best LT in the draft in Ryan Clady, I am happy how it all worked out.

Denver bandwagoners are disgusting. As a Nuggets follower above all else I saw first hand the complete 180 from all facets of the area be it people on the street, radio or TV. Totally mocking a team to lauding them overnight after Melo was drafted. There's an undeniable cynical racism with basketball haters though, so it wasn't shocking.
Broncos fans are the most loyal of the four major sports here. But it's still disheartening to see more Stokley jerseys at Dick's Sporting Goods than Champ and Marshall jerseys combined. Until Broncos fans can fully let go of the Eddie Mac 'White Savior' mantra and accept that the kids we have now are freaking legit, it's going to be sketchy territory.
If this team somehow fell apart, the media would instantly point to Beast Mode's immaturity as a catalyst.
What I don't get is the fanbase's apprehension about this particular season. The Broncos have the easiest schedule in the AFC. I thought 12-4 was a legit possibility before the season even started, and before Marshall's superstar emergence. Yet I still see people afraid to talk playoffs. Afraid of the Chargers and their limp-wristed goof of a QB catching back up. 11-5 would be disappointing. I want a first round bye.

I was wearing a Bronco hat at a bar (not a sports bar, but a regular hook up joint) in Winston Salem, NC last week. I was totally AMAZED at how many people came up to me and complimented me on how well the team was doing; Bronco fans and not Bronco fans.
"Cutler is the ****!"
"You guys are kicking ass!"
and blah, blah, blah.
It was fun, but it's just further proof to me that offense rules the day. The Broncos went 13-3 in 2005 and I never, EVER got compliments in public because of my Broncos gear.
Why?
Because of fantasy football. The Broncos really didn't have any fantasy studs back then. I got a couple of comments like "I have Cutler on my fantasy team! He's amazing!" and it all made sense.
Let's face it; fantasy football made recreational fans of local teams pay attention to the offensive performance of all teams nationwide. Because most fans aren't like some of your friends, or the people that post on this board, that is their only reference.
