Start by drafting players from top 5 or 10 ncaa defensive teams!

Good defensive coaches seem to recruit good atheletes for their defenseive teams not their offenses. Paterno,Pete carrol and so on. Just to clarify why I said this. Game 6 is over, we gave up over 400 yds. to a mediocre offense again. Man the D _ucks.

You mean like Jarvis Moss (Fl, NT team) and Tim Crowder (Tex)?

Maybe you meant like Carlton Powell (VaTech) and Marcus Thomas (UF again!)

In other words, wtf do you think they're doing???

No I am telling you the secret is the switch to 3 - 6 - 2

Where Robertson or Thomas count to 6 Mississippi and then blitz. Any number of the 6 LBs can blitz only after 6 mississippi. It works I am telling you I have sent numerous emails to Shanahan and game tape from my Madden sessions.

No way Apa, it's all about the 5-3. With Elvis and Jarvis waaay wide. With one safety. Of course we'll have to find one safety.

Draft more from the http://media.scout.com/media/forums/emoticons/13/neonu.gif.

Actually...we do have some kids this year that will go in the 3rd or 4th or so that would be real nice additions for the Denver defense.

Is there any chance of Sharpton entering the draft?

It's very possible. He's a redshirt junior and if he comes back I don't think he'll start next year because Miami has two monster true freshman linebackers (Sean Spence, who is getting some playing time this year, and Arthur Brown) who, with a year of experience, will probably be locks as starters next year (along with McCarthy being the 3rd starting LB for 2009).

From what little Ive seen of him he looked good. Youve seen him play more than I have though. I think he might be a value pick though.

I know you love them SoCal but that program has been in the dumps lately. As long as Shannon is there I can't see an improvement. They used to be the track to the NFL.

I only watched the Florida game and can't take a whole lot out of that. I do know that they should always be a contender with the recruiting they get or maybe I should say used to get.

Actually, the recruiting is going real well now...a year ago we had a solid class and last year we had a monster class, so we need one more monster class in my view to be back. The team lost in heartbreaking fashion today...which hurts, but it was good to see that they were ahead for 59 minutes in a ball game against a decent team for once, we're making progress but obviously we're not there yet, so you are correct on that point.

In any case, with regard to draft picks, I don't see how good/bad the team is has any relevance to the evaluation of specific individuals. If this were not true, then we would have to forego prospects like Jay (Vandy) or BMarsh (ECF) or Scheff (W. Mich).

Regardless of how Miami is, I still believe that there are a few specific players that we have, on the defensive side of the ball, that would be solid mid rounders for Denver.
