"The Sarah Palin pick was so bad, I thought it was made by Al Davis!"-on the Stern show today

Does this go in the WRP room for the inevitable right/left running in circles that's about to ensue? Or can we keep this to more Al Davis/Raiders mockery on the main page?

If Palin was picked by Al Davis, Biden was picked by Isaiah Thomas.

That's funny because I see a smart governor and good mother in the body of the sexy librarian.

That doesn't mean she'll help McCain, though. I just can't commit to that guy. :kubiak:

I gotta agree, at this point. Still, given Biden's apparent mission to torpedo his running mate's position at every turn, at least there's comedy involved.

Part of what a leader does is to instill confidence, to demonstrate that he or she knows what they're talking about and communicates to people. If you listen to me and follow what I'm suggesting, we can fix this. Stock market crash, Franklin Roosevelt got on television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed, he said, "Look, here's what happened."

Yeah, I know. You think she's the antichrist, right?

It's like its not enough for them to disagree with someone. As soon as they identify the "enemy" they insist they are the worst everything.

Let me guess, you think she's a horrible mom, a horrible woman, a horrible governor and a horrible person. I bet you guys are already using your favorite name tag and calling her "Hitler." Some of you political junkies are so angry that you're out of touch with reality. ::)

I think her involvement in politics makes her a horrible person just like the rest of them, personally.

Clarity Edit: "them" is referring to politicians in general, not isolated to republicans

Well, you have Biden, who has the occasional honest slip-of-tongue (i.e. saying 'television' instead of radio--seriously, is this all you guys have?), but has vasts amounts of foreign policy experience, is highly intelligent, and who will put boot to ass when necessary (Palin's keister is going to get a square one in the VP debates).

Versus Palin, who has been lying her ass off about her record from day one (saying she was against the bridge to nowhere when she is on film saying the opposite, against earmarks but asked for $200 million worth, not cooperating with an ongoing investigation, etc), who doesn't know what the Bush doctrine is, who thinks Alaska's proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy credentials. Hmmm...who to go with? Ha!

What you must have missed was that (a) Biden didn't support it and then lie about supporting it later, and (b) Biden didn't "say no" but keep the money anyway.

It's the hypocrisy, stupid! :welcome:

She left a town of ~7000 in $20 million of debt after her stint as mayor.

She raised taxes, grew government, abused her office powers, and spurred deficit spending as governor.

You can defend her mothering all you want, I personally don't care, but she is an abysmal civil servant. She's got about as successful a track record as George Bush did with companies before becoming governor of Texas.

Obama is one of the brightest minds of his generation and his entire education and career since high school has focused on political and civil service. I'd dare say you'd be hard pressed to find an American alive today more fit to be president.

Supporting a political party is not much more than cheering for their favorite football team for these nitwits.

See, that's where you dopes expose your ignorance to the way things
are done in Washington. The bridge to nowhere was in a bill full of
bridges to somewhere. Vote the bill down and bridges to somewhere
don't get built either. OTOH, your new hero Palin was all for this
single item, before she was against it. And she kept the money
after the bridge to nowhere was kaput.
