Poll to Come. I allowed multiple choices because I don't really want to see everyone vote for Dumervil...I should probably be asking who the 2nd best defensive lineman is, but I didn't want to presume you all agree with me that Dumervil is the best.

I hope he comes good but, for the moment, I'm off the Dumervil train. I voted Robertson, and my highest hopes are for Thomas.
Dumervil is too one dimensional. Moss is a lost cause imo. The rest should be rotational at best.

As much as it pains me. I think it's Engle****ingberger. I really do. I never see Thomas or Robertson do anything. Engle****ingberger has made some plays this year. Doom has been getting shut out and is a liability against the run.
I think I'm right on this. That being said I wouldn't mind playing Moss and Crowder more to see if they can develop into something.
I'm also going to clarify my answer by saying that Engle****ingberger is playing the best right now. As he might not be the best DL but he is playing the best football. Yes, I do think I'm right about that.

IMO none of them have played well enough to separate themselves from the others.

Robertson takes on double teams a lot so i went with him. He made some good plays for us. Robertson and Dumervil.

It's Engleberger. There are more talented linemen on the roster, but they're not playing as well as he is.

Can I vote none?
Also, can I point out just how insane it was that Boss Bailey was playing on the line in N.O. game? At the snap he'd just sort of aimlessly wander in a circle, like the plastic players on those vibrating metal football games.
Sad.

It's Engelberger, followed by Ekuban and then Thomas. Those three are the most well rounded who give consistent effort versus the run and the pass.
On a related note, Moss outplayed Dumervil on Sunday.

don't forget Doom's finger is still messed up, I think it's been tough for him to grab anything but air...I bet he has a 4-5 game run in him where he'll put up some numbers...
best D lineman right now?, hey ya gotta give Peterson some love...

Robertson by a mile. He controls the middle.

You need to rewatch the last two games and watch the interior.
Both Thomas and Robertson are doing so much more than our DTs last year.
Against NO with a 3 man front, Thomas was in the backfield on about 30% of the plays and he was just so damn close to Bree's on at least 3 occassions. Not like, took a while to get there close, but close almost immediately but Brees is fantastic at getting rid of the ball quickly.
Thomas' improvement this past offseason is probably the most significant on defense. That my friends, is going to be one fantastic pick for us.
I voted Thomas because by end of year he will be our best DLineman but really I think Robertson is the best we have right now.

It's shocking that anybody would vote other than Dumervil. Just because he doesn't have a sack yet this year?

Dumervil is our best pass rusher.
But he is not the best defensive lineman. No where close.
You have to stop the run and get pressure to be that and the DTs are the only one doing that (when they aren't rushing 3).
Dumervil will not be a Bronco for much longer.

He's an above-average pass rusher who sometimes gets chipped by a back or TE but never requires a double team and is the worst DE facing the run in the NFL.

Misspelling is something of a badge of honor here at the mane. After all, 80 percent of this board still thinks it's spelled "Dumerville"

they all play about the same noone stands out to me so i'll say the DT's cause at least they are tied up and trying to push the pocket and stuffing the middle fairly well

I've been happy with Ekuban when he is out there - he needs more reps.

Doom is our most talented DL. However as of right now Thomas, Robertson, Ekuban and Engleberger are all playing better than him.
