Any predictions on the score?

I think they may need to name this game Score fest 08.

Niether D is all that great but both offenses are putting up huge numbers.

What are your thoughts? Is it possible that both teams put up more then 50 points?

Watch, it ends up being a low scoring game!

Maybe.

If that happens this forum will be calling for us to pick top 5 next draft because something is all of a sudden wrong with the offense for having a bad game.

I like our chances. I think Champ will come through with a couple of big time plays that the Saints won't be able to match.

Broncos need PICKS GALORE and they can all be used on the defensie side of the ball next year.

I hope so. I love Champ and he is by far the best player on this team, but it's been a while since he has made one of those game changing plays. We really need our best players making big plays, especially on defense.

Look, the Saints have a not so great offensive line. No real receivers without Colston. All you have to worry about is Bush and he had a whopping 28 yards on 10 carries Sunday.

The Saints are not as good as the hype has them made out to be. IN fact, they are pretty freakin bad.

Their defense blows goats too. We will hang 40 on them easily and hold them to under 20.

No way our defense holds NO under 20 points. Jamarcus Russell had a 100 QB Rating against us. And Brees is better than Rivers and Russell. They will score more than 20.

Brees isn't much better than Rivers especially from the looks of recent games.

I would say Rivers got a better supporting cast too.

Brees scores about 20 or alittle more at most. It aint gonna be like rivers knifing thru our defense.

Bush is good for at least a TD, ST or receiving. Shockey will get some balls. Brees will bounce back against us because our defense isn't good like the Redskins' and I suspect they'll clean up their mistakes. His overall record against is pretty bad. Without Colston they will be much easier to contain. I also think the Denver defense will not want to be embarrassed the way they were last week. On offense I expect us to run more to slow the game down a bit more.

Broncos win against a team that is traveling through four time zones in two weeks.

The Broncos are going to almost lose this one. They just came off two emotional wins. This smells like a let down game to me. A weak NFC rival whose running back needs to get healthy? I'm a little jaded. Broncos need to show some consistency.

Picks? Turnovers? What are these things of which you speak?

There are alot of ifs in this game for us (Saints). First of all if that atrocity of a high school offense that showed up against the foreskins shows up its gonna be a long day for us. If some of our starters come back on defense, Mike Mckenzie, Gay, Fujita, we should be able to hang around. Offensively its got to come down to us establishing a running game and getting Bush and Shockey out in space. If Deuce is a go I see a shoot out, maybe both teams scoring in the high 40s. This is a game Im very concerned about and could set the tone for the rest of the season. I see alot of similarities in these two teams. I think right now offensively Denver has the edge. Cutler is smoking hot right now, and he is just the type of Qb that could pick us apart. On the other hand I think IF we get our starters back and if the coaches blitz and keep pressure on Cutler we have the edge defensively, at least in the trenches. Hows your Oline? I have to admit I have not had a chance to study any Denver games. If someone can link a torrent I would apprieciate it. Anyway here is to a injury free game. It should be a fun game to watch

They haven't allowed a sack yet. Cutler's only been hit about five times. Stats sack he was sacked but that was the no-call fumble. Our line is amazing.

Rock Chalk

Well, Denver knows Fujita pretty well and knows he bites on overpursuit almost all the time. (KC days, some habits die hard).

Bush in space is kind of frightening considering what that little midget Sproles did to us but in researching the Saints the offensive line just isnt that good and if Deuce isnt a go, the run game isnt either.

I just dont have a great fear of the passing attack without Colston in there. Champ will be put on Shockey and DJ will shadow Bush out of the backfield. If the Saints are smart they will target Paymah all day long. Of course, Payton probably watched Paymah in the SD game and will game plan around him.

If SD cant score 40 on us, I really doubt that NO will. SD has a better O-line (better at holding, bastards) and there were still a couple of times we were in his face (not many, but a few). Brees will get sacked big a couple of times in this game, Im certain of it.

I do think it will be an interesting game, I just think the Broncos have too much firepower for any offense to try and keep up with. Once we get a big lead we are going to tee off on the QB (Brees). Jailhouse blitzing in the second half. Watch.

Our Oline is horrid at run blocking, but they arent to bad at picking up the pass rush, plus brees has a real quick release. How they protect him will be key. Peyton couldnt game plan his way around the line at the drive through at McDonalds, so you guys should have the edge there. Colston being out scares me too, but Robert Meachum is showing promise and there is very little film on him. I look for Brees to throw to him a few times early to draw coverage away from Shockey and Bush.

Broncoman13
09-17-2008, 05:30 AM
Boss and McCree will team to shadow Shockey. DJ will shadow Bush with help coming from either Dre or Champ depending on which side of the field Bush goes to. The Broncos really need to look at the film and see that Paymah covering the #2 or #1 receiver rather than the slot receiver is not working. Our nickel moves Dre inside to cover the slot. Makes sense that Dre could hang with the smaller/quicker types. But then Paymah struggles with the #1 or #2 receivers. They should move Paymah inside, gamble by blitzing him and dropping the LBs into deep zone coverage and hope to dear god that Paymah causes some errant throws. The alternative is 5 or 6 straight first downs anyway... what's the down side?
