Defensive guru's what do you think Slo will do?

Can we just have DJ shadow him all game or is that too much to ask?
- I like the kick it onsides everytime and let our D work with a short field approach as well but since that wont happen what else can we do?

With the Saints having no legit WR threats can Mcree or Manuel spy the LOS all game?

I thought for a second this thread should be in the political forum...

Put the man on him when he lines up up wide and put a hat on Brees and get there in the process.

How about we do what we did against the Chiefs a few years back and put Bailey on Shockey and a safety stay with Bush?

Did you see those safeties in intermediate coverage Sunday? Jesus, just have them run blitz every play if it's gonna be like that.

Bailey on Shockey? That seems a bit over the top. Is he really that big a weapon? I think the general feeling is that is reputation is bigger than his ability. Not that he isnt capable, but our top corner?

I think Ray J taunting him on the sidelines might work

Oh no way, that would put Paymah in the game.

I say we let the DL loose instead of making them blocking dummy's and let Engleberger get after it. :)

Your talking about Boss Bailey Right..? Because that is why the Broncos signed him to cover Gates and Gonzales.

I would have DJ shawdow Bush.

Bush is not having a good few weeks in the backfield, its on his returns that he is making hay.

Ummm, you're forgetting his receiving out of the backfield and when they split him out wide or in the slot. He has 175 yds receiving in 2 games! That's a 1,400 yd pace for the season. That cannot be ignored.

This is a game where Boss will earn his stripes. I think Brees tries to go to Shockey early and often. As for Bush, just minimize the big plays, and that means guys can't be out of position or over commit. I don't think that really is Nate Websters style, so it could get ugly.

I talked about this in a thread on Monday. Bush will be a factor in this game. If Bush gets in open spaces, it might be a long day for our defense. We need to make sure his production is held to a minimum...how we do this...I'll leave it up to the coaches.

When he splits out at WR, put Champ on his @ass.

If he stays in the backfield, make him DJ's primary responsibility.

Nothing special needed other then making the tackles.

i am more concerned on whether we should kick to him because i dont think to highly of our special "ed" teams coverage after SD game

Prater did get those KO's into the endzone, Sproles was taking them out 3-5 yards deep. It worked for him twice and he didn't make it to the 20 twice if I remember right.

Bush is going to be the same threat as Sproles was. He will probably do as much damage.

I say play him straight up and let our O score it's average 40 points PG.

Brees doesn't have the WR threats that Rivers has. With Colston out they should not be able to convert 3rd and 10 or 3rd and 11 or 3rd and goal...as much...

Guys will simply have to fly to the ball as a unit......

Cant have him in space with only a guy or two to beat.

Seen that with sproles......If you dont fly to the ball on game breaker type players like that youll get burned.....

Sproles had to beat one man "Dumervil" and he was off into the open.

Kick it out of bounds on returns or beyond the endzone. We should be more worried about his returns and our horrible ST coverage. I do like the fact we will stick Bailey or Sheff in there to cover some gaps and take prisoners.
