Guess they felt Charlie was too tough on her...

Sean Hannity, the conservative commentator, will interview Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin next week, the Fox News Channel announced Friday.
Jill Hazelbaker, a spokeswoman for the McCain campaign, confirmed that the television interview would be Ms. Palin’s second since becoming the vice presidential nominee on Aug. 29.
His interview will be taped Tuesday in Cincinnati, Ohio, and will be shown on “Hannity & Colmes,” Fox’s 9 p.m. political talk show, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mr. Hannity, who co-hosts the Fox program with Alan Colmes and also hosts a popular radio show, is generally sympathetic to Ms. Palin. “She is a rock star, a rising star, a reform governor with more experience than Barack Obama ever dreamed of having,” he said the day she was chosen by John McCain.
According to Fox, “an array of topics will be discussed in the interview including being the vice presidential nominee, her role in the McCain campaign, Iraq and foreign policy, amongst others.”
Ms. Palin sat down for her first TV interview, with the ABC anchorman Charles Gibson, Thursday in Alaska. The three-part interview with Mr. Gibson continues today. TVNewser notes that Mr. Hannity objected to Mr. Gibson’s question about Ms. Palin’s religious views, calling it “out of context” and “totally misconstrued.”
Mr. Hannity’s interview will likely be a boon for “Hannity & Colmes,” just as Bill O’Reilly’s four-part interview with Barack Obama boosted the ratings for “The O’Reilly Factor” this week. Mr. O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. program has reached 4.3 million viewers through Wednesday of this week, about double his average audience size.

I bet Hannity will ask her how she felt being compared to a pig. And then explain to her why she's so much more qualified than Obama. Hard-hitting journalism like that...

“This is my campaign not Sarah Palin’s,” said Sen. Obama at a hastily-arranged news conference. “You people should be talking about me. Why don’t you jump on me for me ripping off (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utHZ7zYytLk) Tom Toles, the Washington Post cartoonist, whose line I repeated almost word-for-word as if I had written it myself. Now, that’s a story!”

The rumor going around now is that Sarah Palin will not face any press whatsover. She will not do the live Sunday morning shows. Period. She will not do any press conferences. The only live event she will be allowed to take part in will be a single, highly controlled, debate. In other words, what some are calling the meanest, most despicable campaign in American history is also going to attempt to run their VP candidate right past the press with blatant disregard for the need of the American people to know. The message from the McCain camp is basically the next step in the Rove process. Instead of "attack the press" the McCain philosophy will be "**** the press."

I dont think so...she has solidified the base, which is what McCain needed. She just needs to not be an apologist for not being a Marxist and she will do just fine.
