Considering that Obama is pretty much a lock to win the election according to the "gold standard" poll that really matters here is a great opportunity to put up your own money where your mouth is and cash in.
Intrade which has political futures now has McCain favored over Obama to win the presidency. Last trades going at 50.6 versus Obama at 48.5.
So rather that just yammer about how you "just hope it is close" and the "polls don't mean anything", you guys should just use your elevated intelligence to go in here and make some free money. And when you cash in that will give you some spare change to buy a Prius. ;D

I just hope Obama can be competitive.
Given that Palin was such a poor choice and McCain is just more George Bush all over again Obama has to be a virtual lock.

I've been following Intrade for awhile. Obama's stock has always been around 60 since Hillary dropped out. McCain's stock has been below 40 for months. Even when all the polls had them even, the gap at Intrade was 20 until just the last two days.

Times appear to be a changing.......and it is why we are starting to see more desperate tactics from the Obama camp. It is far from over and they certainly could still win but they have definitely messed up what should have been one of the biggest gimme elections in the history of our country.
This should have looked like Reagan/Mondale in reverse.
