View Full Version : What Dre Bly said to the Raider fans...

It appears a Raider fan was able to quote what Dre Bly kept yelling to the fans in the stands...I got this from a Raider forum...
http://www.raiderfans.net/forum/oakland-raiders-forum-message-board/138220-what-dre-bly-said-fans.html
I found this interesting. So after the game was well in hand and most fans had left. My buddy and I moved down to the first row of the visitors sideline bleachers at the 50 yd line. A bunch of drunk Raider fans start screaming at Dre Bly and any Bronco that would look there way. Saying stuff that I cannot repeat. I mean it was bad. Finally after Dre Bly had enough he walks over to the edge of the bench area and says.....
"You know what you guys say you got the best secondary in the league and your secondary aint sh*t."
"You guys got the highest paid secondary in the league and you ain't sh*t.
"Your guys secondary ain't sh*t."
"They ain't sh*t.
"That new safety you paid ain't sh*t."
"And Deangelo Hall for sure ain't sh*t."
this is pretty much verbatum. he probably repeated "your secondary ain't sh*t" a couple more times but you guys get the point.
Just thought it was interesting cause Dhall and the rest of the secondary talked all about being the best and Denver took it as a personal challenge.
Sucks to here the truth from an opposing player while you are getting spanked by 30.
anyway...i thought it was pretty funny so i figured i'd pass it along...

I agree that fans shouldn't get a free pass to show their ass just because they bought a ticket...but I don't justify players doing it because they do...I'm not saying they have to deal with it in the "most nicest" way, I mostly think they should ignore it...or laugh at it...heck there are number of things that would be better than "your ____ aint Shyt!" 10 times over...

To the people who have a problem with this, you might have missed the part where the guy said he couldn't even repeat what the fans were yelling at the Bronco players. I sure as hell wouldn't stand there without saying anything, and I don't expect a FOOTBALL PLAYER to just take **** from some asshole fans of a rival team. I have absolutely no problem with Dre talking back and telling the truth.
This is nothing like what Rivers did. Even if Jay started the trash talking, (and I don't think he did) it wasn't directed at Rivers. Rivers was just being a little bitch.

Thank you for this! I find this absolutely hilarious and I'm so glad I made a new screen name today and now, to get to read that.
Eddie Royal sure made an embarassment of DeAngelo Hall last night and that's just bad sportsmanship taking out his anger the way he did, but at least he got penalized.
See my old SN used to be jwalk_lvr because i was the biggest fan ever of Javon Walker, but he had to grow a huge ego and move to the Raiders which is a SIN in Denver. And immediately when we got Royal, I got a feeling he was going to be my next "boy" as I like to call them. And I was right, he's amazing and the great thing is he's modest and kept giving credit to the rest of the team and staff. I've bought every single one of my "boys" jerseys but I have a curse now because each one of them have been traded or left. So for the sake of the Broncos, I won't buy Royal's jersey, although I am obsessed with him and I can't show that when I go to games.

Light hearted trash talk is fun. Sure, some people are too stiff, or "classy", to deal with it and get sensitive, but most competitors have fun with it. I bet 95% of NFL players talk friendly trash. Even the ones everyone considers classy. I know Lynch did. Bly didn't do it through the media, and he didnt get personal, so for me, its a non issue.
As far as it being childish, lets be honest, we spend huge amounts of time watching men play a game with an inflated pigskin. Its childish. Nobody cares because its fun and life is to short to stress out about if your fun is mature enough.

sure in terms of play...the issue with me is play vs. mouth...Nahmdi Aso doesn 't talk a lot of crap but his game is miles better than Hall's...I respect Aso and I think Hall is pathetic...I never seem to hear Mcallister have to puff up his image with hot air
Listen...I don't mean to paint myself as some Bly hater or a no talking no fun type of guy...I think Bly is a generally good ball player and I think smack generally adds to the fun of the game...but indulging a group of drunken morons in shyt talking isn't really all that cool to me...it's not the end of the world, I don't think Bly is a bad guy for it...but it doesn't fire me up...it doesn't make me think that Bly is a better Broncos warrior...it makes me think he can't stop himself from running his mouth to anyone.
I also think that there are a lot of folks on this board that rise up with righteous indignation when someone like Rivers talks shyt toward the Broncos, but then celebrate the same behavior from one of our own...at least one poster acknowledged that this was exactly the point and I now "get" that guy, but for others they can't even recognize their hypocrisy and I don't understand why.

Couldn't really care less about it really. There is a small part of me that says he probably should have used a little bit better verbage than he did, but the actual act doesn't bother me so much.
The comparison to Rivers is a bit of a stretch as well. Rivers was coming out onto the field to taunt another QB. It is one thing to trash talk players that are opposite of you, but to jeer the person playing the same position as you on the other team is over the line of understandable.
Bly was talking back to some drunk fans who where yelling obscinities while their team was getting blown out. And without knowing the whole story of what happened, I am not going to draw an conclusions about Bly's personality or behavior.

As for Rivers/Cutler...I don't get it...we were pwned by San Diego last year...twice...I'm still embarrassed by it...makes me think of the Russian in Rounders ("...from the last time I stick it in you")...so whatever River's had to say about the Broncos last year...I freaking bet you it had a ring of truth too

I'm certain anything pulled of a raider board is 100% reliable.
That said, who cares if he said this? That is the most pathetic fanbase I have ever seen, they can use some talking down to. Not their loyalty, they must be loyal to stick tinfoil spikes on their shoulders, and pretend this makes them intimidating.
But I lost all respect for those fans, when their throwing of D-sized batteries at players didn't even get them kicked out of the stadium. They are wanna be gangsters, that feel dressing in black with a pirate symbol on their clothes makes them magically badass.
How often would Bly do this? Probably never. Why? Because no other fanbase is as raunchy and classless as the Raider fanbase. Reap what you sow my friends.
I'm sure those fans can handle the S word, considering the spew that comes from their mouths.
