One of the big questions coming into this season was concerning whether or not the youngsters on the O-line could hold their own when the lights came on for real.
Last night showed some encouraging results. Not a single sack given.

Clady and Harris are so much better then last yrs tackles. Kuper has improved big time and Hamilton is back. Basically every position is better because Wiegman is a pretty good bkup to Nalen.

They really impressed me. Not only for not giving up sacks, but for often keeping pressure so far away for so long that Croyle would have looked good back there. I was prepared for a good, but rookie performance from the line, I didn't expect a practically perfect performance (on passes at least).

Both O-Tackles making their first pro starts, on the road no less, and Cutler is not even touched.

Sacks? Did they even allow a pressure? I didn't see anyone even get to smell Jay let alone touch him.
Well, except for when he scrambled and I nearly had a heart attack.

They looked really good last night. I think Cutler has great vision as well. when the Raiders did get a clear line on Cutler...the ball was out of there. Major improvemente on the Oline thus far...

If we get a performance close to this throughout the season, Jay will throw for 4000+ and 35 TD's.
Not only that, but we're going to become the penultimate passing threat in the league. Brady is gone and Manning is struggling out of the gate.

Cutler looked pristine at the end of the game!

I think Rob Ryan didn't get the memo that pre-season is over.
The Raiders didn't blitz once last night. I barely even saw them stunting.
Still a good job though by Denver's o-line.

Nah, he had it right. Foster used to give those for free, and last yr Pears sometimes looked like he was willing to take offers.

Cutler took a few good shots, including the one where he broke containment and got thumped by Asomugha in the open field. It ain't like he's fragile or anything, but let's hope he doesn't subject himself to many more hits like that one.

Let's see how we do against the sparkies this week. This is a revenge game and hopefully we've closed the talent gap between us, especially on the OLine.

Nah, dude. Penultimate refers to one of the greatest moments in a performance. Chronology is only a setting for the definition of that word.

Sirius radio this morning said that Cutler doesnt even need to wash his damn jersey! hahahah, If Asumuahg or however you say it didnt hit him on the run(which I to was holding my breath) he would never have been down to the ground

I'm not sure if the Raiders had very many pressures. Cutler had to move around in the pocket every now and then, but not often.

O line looked real solid. I heard them call a Oak D-line a few times, only to comment that they weren't doing anything.

No it isn't. It's a term that has exactly one meaning, and it isn't a synonym for ultimate. Don't worry, you're not the first idiot on the internet that's used it that way, but you are the first idiot I've ever seen who's refused to admit he's wrong after being presented with the correct definition.

Nopes, it means second to last, literally.
The reason it is associated with good things is because many performances and books build up to the ending and the climactic events typically play out in the penultimate part of the book/play/symphony/movie with the ending wrapping everything up nice and tidy.

You're gonna have to take this one, Llama. It has never meant "ultimate".
