This faid board was fired up about how great they are and last was last season and we're really good this year.

Good to see it's back to normal now.

You gotta love the "any way to riot/protest outside Raider facilities?" thread.

I even see a few "Al Davis has to go" remarks. Maybe they really are coming around.

I lurked on their board prior to the game, and you couldn't get one of them to give Cutler any respect, and you still can't really. They are mostly blaming the "scheme" and not their over-priced ****ty players (outside of Hall, who's getting roasted nicely).

Clockwork Orange

They should implode, their franchise is completely inept.

Look at their last three drafts. They pass on Leinart and the guy who shredded them tonight to take Michael Huff because Andrew Walter was suposedly "the future." That lasted all of one year and they ended up using the first overall pick to take Jelatinous Russell out of necessity instead of taking the best player in the draft, Calvin Johnson. Warren Sapp retires on them this offseason and the best DT in the draft falls into their lap.....they pass. They had just re-signed Justin Fargas after a somewhat breakout season and use the 4th overall pick on a RB.

Of course, then there's dealing away their 2nd rounder for DeAngelo Hall, one of the most overrated corners in the league (even before Eddie Royal made him his prison bitch). Making Tommy Kelly (who I thought was Johnny Dangerously's younger brother) the highest paid DT in the NFL. Bidding against themselves for the services of oft injured, me first WR Javon Walker.

Of course, this is all after Davis tried to get their young head coach to sign a resignation letter for God knows what reason.

They're 19-61 since 2003. If that doesn't call for an implosion, I don't know what does.

These are some of my favorites:

"The joke is rob ryan and how this worthless **** has a job in the nfl is beyond me. Kiffin saw that was was garbage but old stupid ass davis is stuck in the 70's and blocked it/"

"I want to kill myself"

"Yeah he's done as defensive coach. He'll be kicked upstairs to head coach. I can hear Al now "Rob, I like you. Your ability to ignore the obvious rivals only my own! You're real Raider material.""

"here sums up the game for me

(1) Walker 5 years 55 million did not play
(2) Edwards 2 years 5 millikon did not play
(3) Harris 3 years 14 Million got hurt
(4) Hall 7 Years 70 Milion was total Dog S hit numerous penalies, terrible c overage etc.. schooled by Eddie Royal A ROOKIE!

that is 145 million plus signing bonuses which comes to like 180 million that either did not play or stunk up the place BUMS! "

"The secondary which was supposed to be great got treated like a two bit who tonight"

"It still is mind-boggling how Al can't realize how to make this team better. Sh!t I hate Al Davis... It's hard to say but I can't see this team wnning until he is no longer in control.

HOW do you go out and pay a CB b4 a DT? HUH?"

What boggles my mind is how they passed on Dorsey for a RB (a position they are stacked at), and signed Kelly and Walker to such huge deals.

Hall, I can at least understand since he was a productive player that plays at a premium position that commands a lot of money. Bad deal, don't get me wrong, but more understandable than the rest.

i saw on some other boards,TSN comes to mind, the same thing. god i freaking hope these black and silver idiots arent finally realizing the truth: the raiders are doomed as long as al davis is alive and well enough not to be declared legally incompetent(or is that incontinent?ha).
lets pray that he stays alive and just lucid enough to stay in control forever. cant even compare him to monte burns anymore.

No, they don't have it in them to figure where the source of the problem is.

I'm certainly in no position to run any smaq at this time, but Leinart has been benched in favor of whats left of Kurt Warner. He ain't looking like such a hot prospect.

I think Royal can beat DeAngelo Hall or Nnamdi Asomugha, no doubt in my mind. With the speed Royal has you have to be constantly focused and stay on him. But sooner or later you are going to make a costly mistake and Royal will burn you deep!

haha like are you kidding me? how stupid can you be? just fueling my main reason why i hate the donkeys, by far the dumbest fans in the nfl

This is why I never talk smack. I just remain quietly and cautiously optimistic. You would think by now they would have blunted their solid predictions a bit. That Eddie Royal thread was painful and funny. It was other Raider fans calling them out. That hurts.

My favorite part of kicking the Raider's asses in their own home is to watch all the costumed bozos filing out. You can almost hear them thinking, "Now I've got to spend two hours washing all this crap off."

Well....I've been reading and responding little to the posts out there regarding what we saw last night. I feel for ya Nation, I really do. It was heart wrenching to say the least. I'll keep my thoughts - hopefully - brief and to the point.

I see a serious lack of talent - overall - on this team. It was obvious to me that we were simply overmatched by Denver and that is scary considering Denver isn't viewed as an elite team.
The defense was the absolute most disappointing factor of the game last night. They couldn't stop the run. They couldn't stop the pass. They committed stoopid penalties.
More on the defense, I saw a very familiar issue recurr throughout the game ==> the defense cannot get off the field on 3rd down.
All that money spent on the secondary and what did we see? Tony Scheffler, Darrell Jackson and Eddie Royal torch the bejesus out of it. Imagine what would/will happen against a real WR corp.
Pass rush. We don't need no stinking pass rush. Jay Cutler can probably wear the same jersey he had on last night next game without washing it. There were times he had 10 seconds back there to sit in the pocket.
Tommy Kelly (http://www.sbreport.net/raider_news/008/108.html), DeAngelo Hall and Javon Walker (http://www.sbreport.net/2008/05/16/silver-spotlight-oakland-raiders-wr-javon-walker/). Big money deals. Big fizzle on game day. Right now, those deals appear like the sort that alone could set this franchise back, er....keep us where we are for a few more years. Hall was terrible. Burnt all night, committed bad penalties. Kelly looked slow and useless most of the game. Walker...<CHIRP, chirp>
Russell actually looked pretty good to me. I was never a big proponent of drafting him, but I saw enough from him last night to know that in a good place, he could really be something special. I just worry that place may not be Oakland.
Fargas and McFadden, for what it's worth, they did well in what little action/time they had. I am minimally encouraged by our QB and RB's and as you'll see our TE. I also thought the interior of the line was adequate at least.
Zach Miller is the real deal. Now if only we had a couple of NFL caliber OT's so he could actually run a pass pattern once in awhile.
The OT's - Harris and Green - are simply not good enough.
Which is also why I feel Kiffin called a conservative game plan. I do not feel he has a lack of faith in Russell, but a complete lack of faith in the OT and WR units on this team. We essentially have nothing at either spot worth a damn right now. Sure, there is some young potential at WR, but nothing right now for Kiffin and/or Russell to rely on.
I know there were some bad calls by the refs, but we shouldn't hang our hopes of staying competitive merely on the refs making the right call. We need to be good enough to overcome that. Right now, it doesn't matter what the refs do, the outcome would've been the same - a loss.
We got whoooped, man-handled, beat down, run over, and outright embarassed in our own building by a division rival without one of their best offensive weapons. http://www.raiderfans.net/forum/images/smilies/nono.gif
Now for my big....statement I guess. One game is not enough, normally, for me to make a decision, to base a thought on. So, although the timing can be considered the straw that broke the camels back if you know what I mean, this is something that has been brewing for me over the last few years. IMO, I am finally in the "Al Davis is ultimately responsible for the product on the field, the state of the franchise and the inability to return the Raiders to greatness."

It's high time the man calling the shots is held responsible for making the bad calls. I've supported Al for the most part and defended him, though less and less recently, but we are at the point, where we have had enough coaches, enough turnover in personel, etc. that the two constants - Al Davis and losing football games - are left. Only one man can turn this around, the same man who is ultimately responsible for where we are. Do not get me wrong, a whole lot of folks have had a part to play in our situation, e.g. coaches, players, etc. but I reiterate, ultimately Al Davis is responsible. He wants it that way, he has designed the organization that way and that is simply and to the point the way it is.

Now, how does this get fixed? I have no idea. That's not my job. I can say what many others have, e.g. hire a GM, give up some control, etc. etc. but that doesn't guarantee us success. I do know that if something drastic doesn't change this season, we are inline for another losing year and that makes 6 in-a-row. Something certainly needs to change.

It saddens me to say these things about a franchise and a man that I have invested 28 years of my life devoted to following, but I'm calling it like I see it as honestly and openly as I can.

There is nothing more gratifying than watching the Broncos destroy the Raiders. I was watching the game with a buddy of mine who is a Packer fan (and was happy the Pack won). He asked me if Denver should keep scoring when it was 34-7. I told him, hell yea. There was 6 minutes left in the game. What's Denver to do, take a knee? No friggin way! Ram it down their throats! Make them pay for their arrogance and futility!

Like I said, nothing makes me happier than watching those clowns in their skull and Vader masks go home all sad and dejected...until we hand San Diego a nice cold dish of reality on Sunday when we re-claim the AFC West as ours for the taking!

I felt the same thing. It was sickening to listen to all the praise they were heaping on the Raiders at the start of the game. In fact, there was one pass Cutler made early (believe it was on a third and long) and those ****ers in the booth actually MOANED when the Broncos made 1st down. I just couldn't stomach it any more and so I ran to get my boombox to turn on KOA. Unfortunately, the radio broadcast wasn't in sync with the television broadcast. TV was a few seconds behind so when I would be seeing Cutler drop back to pass, Dave on KOA would already be telling me the pass had been completed! Had to turn off KOA and keep listening to those fools in the booth.

The Broncos certainly were not the favored team to win in the booth last night.
