And it is obvious that most of you guys are just pitiful liberal hacks that not only buy into the Democrats flawed principles(or lack thereof) but also follow the party line to the letter on using personal attacks and insults when people refuse to buy your garbage.

There is a reason why the Dems have only been able to get one person into the White House in the last 28 years and it is because the majority also don't buy into their garbage either.

The Dem's following is made up of a handful of extreme vocal lefty's and a whole bunch of people trying to vote themselves money. I can at least respect those that are trying to vote themselves money as they at least have a understandable purpose.

Actually, I'm not a Republican (not independent, but a Libertarian), but that won't stop your namecalling or abusive move to tyranical behavior instead of proper discourse. Your high school childish behavior is increasingly typical of party sheep. There are those that fix problems, those who complain, and those who do nothing. Is it the trend for Obama supporters to most often express themselves by cussing and attacks. Those are normally the traits of a cornered creature.

When this thing is done it will probably turn into another 8 years, possibly 12 if McCain keeps it to one term. That will make at least a 28 out of a 36 year stretch of rule by the good guys. What does fumbling around with no direction and losing decade after decade feel like?

The good guys?

Seriously?

I have been and will be an independent my entire life. This line you just said here is everything wrong with American politics.

The good guys, who created deficit spending (with Reagan) and have never stopped. The good guys, who violate our personal freedoms in order to "keep us safe" spying on American citizens in their American homes. The good guys, who only hire yes men and sycophants. The good guys, who give gross amounts of hand outs, tax breaks, and no bid contracts to corporations who have old friends of lobbyist sponsors tied to them. The good guys who've done nothing the past 8 years but undo all the economic progress their democratic predecessor did in 8 years prior.

The same "good guys" who call themselves fiscal conservatives but spend faster than any political party in history.

Any self proclaimed "libertarian" who votes for the GOP should go get his head checked. Voting for the GOP is voting for big government, fiscal irresponsibility, and less personal freedoms. Last I knew that was exactly what Libertarians stood against.

Republican? More like American Fascists with a nice bit of window dressing. How long until we get to elect our own Putin or Mussolini?

Drek- the President and the Republicans are not the party in charge of the Senate or Congress. There are some good guys on both sides of the aisle- BUT there are more corrupt self serving tyrants in both political parties. The abosolutely amazing thing, is McCain is a Republican outsider disliked by most corrupt politicians from both sides. Corrupt Democrats still like Obama. They see the possibility of enlarging the Pork train. Libertarians stand for decreasing the federal goverment, decreasing handouts, self determination, more strength to localized government. Bob Bar and Ron Paul are kind of to the crackpot margin, but change is sincerely needed. Not more of the same ideals of Biden, Pelozi, and Reid.

Not so called, registered. I support returning control to the people. I definitely don't want the federal government in my daily life, but too many people do. People suck, but we all hope they improve. If you just spend time focusing on the negative- nothing improves. Whether you like, agree, or grunt and bark at what I write, it isn't in the spirit of hate or belittling of people for exercising thier constitutional right. So by all means, keep demonstrating how little your cause is doing to improve anything. A man with an empty head is better than one with his head full of confusion.

The republi-cons have controlled the executive branch and both houses for six of the last eight years. The Dems have enjoyed only a razor thin, non-filibuster-proof majority for those two years, and you want to pin the blame for the Bush debacle on them?

Debunked? Do you have a link or are you just posting more unsubstantiated rumour? You may be able to fool quite a few people, but 150 jobs in Otero County is not small stuff, except to those friends of Obama that make $21 M a year. How many unemployed factory workers in La Junta would have like a piece of Obama's $96 K for closing the factory? Once again you have given an opening that shows the weakness of the Obama movement.

I already posted it on the thread where you originlly tried to slip that particular piece of right-wing disinfo past us, but here it is again for your convenience:

Exposing the La Junta Lie

Chapter 4

The Video’s Claim: Though Sen. Obama has spoken about worker’s rights to groups critical of Wal-Mart, he didn’t mention that the CEO of TreeHouse Foods received $26 million in compensation in 2005, while Wal-Mart’s CEO received $10.5 million, despite the fact that TreeHouse is a much smaller company — “maybe because he’s embarrassed his wife sits on the Board of Directors of TreeHouse Foods, a company that shut a plant in 2006 that was staffed primarily with low-paid Hispanics!”

The Truth: Michelle Obama joined the Board of Directors of TreeHouse Foods in June 2005, shortly after the company was spun off its parent company, Dean Foods. TreeHouse CEO Sam Reed (http://www.treehousefoods.com/bio_sam_reed.html) was reportedly paid $26.2 million in 2005, much of which was in the form of stock options stemming from the company’s spin-off and contingent on the company’s level of performance, according to Crain’s Business (http://www.chicagobusiness.com/cgi-bin/mag/article.pl?id=26965&postDate=2006-12-09). In other words, the company must do well for Reed to receive that money.

TreeHouse has an Executive Compensation Committee to determine the salaries of its executives. Michelle Obama does not sit on this committee (http://www.treehousefoods.com/bio_michelle_obama.html). When asked, she pointed out that Reed’s compensation is “benchmarked to that of other food firms.” She also noted to a reporter that her income “is pretty low compared to my peers,” adding, “You wouldn’t ask that question if, like some people in politics, we had trust funds and were
rich.”

As for the claim about the plant that was shut down in 2006, it’s true. It was a pickle plant in La Junta, Colorado, and employed 153 people. It was not closed by TreeHouse directly, however, but by Bay Valley Foods, a division of the larger TreeHouse company. The video’s attempt to link Michelle Obama to the plant’s closure — and to once again inject racial overtones into its specious claim — is like saying the Secretary of Agriculture should be held responsible for the unfortunate closing of a military base in Maine.

A press release (http://www.lexdon.com/article/Bay_Valley_Foods_Announces_Plans/20513.html) from Bay Valley Foods regretfully attributes the closure to “a reduction in our pickle business and a significant increase in overhead costs, making it necessary to consolidate our manufacturing network. The La Junta facility is a high-cost plant with the lowest utilization among Bay Valley Foods’ pickle plants. Production at La Junta will be reallocated among our five remaining pickle production facilities.”

http://obamarama.org/2007/01/25/the-...obamatruthorg/ (http://obamarama.org/2007/01/25/the-truth-about-obamatruthorg/)

Once again you have given an opening that shows the weakness of the Obama movement.
