Problem with McCain is he voted with Bush 90+ times and then denounces his 8 years. That Flip Flop won't fly with me.

Yes welfare should be a fed thing. Why would you make it more advantagous for someone to get welfare in one state over another? I actually agree with ron paul on a lot of stuff.....a lot of stuff shoudl be delegated to the states..........but not stuff that effects everyone the same.

Yes welfare should be a fed thing. Why would you make it more advantagous for someone to get welfare in one state over another? I actually agree with ron paul on a lot of stuff.....a lot of stuff shoudl be delegated to the states..........but not stuff that effects everyone the same.

depends on the states economic health , different cost of living from state to state , for example new York City vs Casper Wyoming , or Denver Colorado vs Omaha Neb ......etc .....I do think the feds should handle alot of stuff , but abortion , Welfare , local laws are state rights issues

Don't you want a leader who can judge things based on current information or situation and not be beholden to some ridiculous idea because it was what he thought 3 years ago

Im the first to admit McCain Flip flopped before. BUthere are my 2 points behind it.

1. People make Obama out to be this perfect guy and say Mccain is the flip flopper..........THATS BS........Obama flip flopps way more.......or at the very least they are even. So the dems should quit attacking Mccain on flip flops or its gonna come back to haunt them.........which leads me to point 2.

2. Mccain has flip flopped but we are talking about a span of 8 or more years. People have a change of heart over 8 years. Maybe something changes or a new situation comes about to make them change their mind. OBAMA on the other hand flip flops in a 5 month period. Its one thing to flip flop over 8 years, but 5 months....thats rediculous! That either means he doesnt beleive what he says and just says whatever he wants to make the immediate people happy, or he doesn't know and changes his mind daily. see i totally disagree about abortion.........that should be a fed thing.......we are all american citizens and all equal when it comes to stuff like that.......how can one state say its ok to kill a baby (after birth) and another say its not.

That would be like Ohio saying you can kill your neighbor if hes a steelers fan, but in PA saying you can't kill your neighbor because hes a browns fan..........thats just not right.

But as to the welfare........in ohio its pretty much impossible to get welfare unless you have kids.........and even then its 6 months tops for a male. Where as in other states you can pretty much live off of it forever. Thats NOT RIGHT!

Now you said that feds should control stuff that affect us all equally, like welfare. Most states fund the TANF program with a small amount from the feds and medicaid is almost exclusively funded by state governments. Food stamps is the only all federal program. And sorry, but abortion does not affect us all. It's a personal decision.

You know, if you didn't go to Fox News for your carefully parsed clips you might have actually understood what he was saying.

He stated Iran is not a military threat to the United States.

They are a military threat to our allies, and he acknowledged that.

The problem is McCain and his cohorts are trying to paint Iran as some deadly regime, much like Bush did with Iraq, that can directly attack America. They can't. They are only a threat to our allies there and that completely changes how we need to handle it.

The fact that you get your talking points from Fox News of all places should clue most people in to just how biased and narrow minded you really are.

I'm not in favor of the masses getting in line to suck the tit of government but hey if that is what the people want then let's go for it. He's hardly pounding any war drums.

And what he will change is economic and energy policy in this country.

No candidate can be all things to all people. Obama, much like FDR, has dedicated his campaign to fixing a failing U.S. economy. Whereas in FDR's time that meant builting a legitimate infrastructure that businesses could utilize in our time that means building a legitimate energy future.

Obama's energy/economic package are clearly his #1 priority. Health care comes second. Everything else is a distant 3rd. That is as it should be because our country is in an economic downward spiral and that needs to always take priority.
