Words uttered by Michelle Obama? Nope by Mccain. Hey righties another one of your talking points goes down in flames.

Your missing the point. The righties ran with Michelle's statement and are still uttering it to this day.Hell Cindy used it yesterday as did Palin. Mccain uttered a similar statement and he gets a pass?

Agreed, but do you honestly believe that Michelle didn't love her country? The repubs took her words and smeared her with them and continue to.

are you that ****ing shallow? That context was the most moving part of his speech tonight. How he grew from a spoiled frat boy who cared only about himself to an American who realizes through hellish experiences how wonderful this country is.

I probably wouldnt expect you to "get it" because you probably one of those stuck up snot nosed little twerps with his nose stuck up in the air who sees everything through your idiotic sunglasses and cannot give context to anything that doesnt involve "your boy."

Unfortunately many people do. If they utter those words enough, a vast majority of americans will believe it. I think the next time one of the repubs brings this up, the obama campaign should counter with a clip of mccain. We shouldn't sink to their levels but at the same time we can't just stand around. Kerry is a perfect example of what will happen.

Maybe she found a deeper love for her country.

It really shoulnd't be an issue. She is not running for president. Just as Palin's daughter isn't.

And obama grew up as a poor child of a single mother to serve his country. That is not what I am talking about here, I am talking about taking one words out of context and repeadetely using them as political attacks. Then Mccain gets on tonight and says that we "yell at each other too much". What a crock. Did you forget that he said that he was proud of the celebrity ad that he ran against obama? That's not being shallow, it's being awake. You should try it.

Another great point, someone tell the repubs that.

I wonder when someone will bring up the giant elephant in the room that McCain keeps saying he's running for POTUS because he's a proud American and wants to serve his country, yet in his own book released just a couple years ago he said he ran in 2000 entirely because it was his ambition to be president?

He specifically said it wasn't out of patriotism or believing he was best for the country, just that he wanted to be president.

Always seems to get forgotten amongst all his many flip flops though. Wonder what is motivating this run?

I have to agree with you , that McCain showed a side I hadn't seen , and that part of his speech was the best part of it. How he came to Love his country.

Unfortunately the rest of it was disjointed name calling, then unity calling , threatening and then saying he'll reach across the isle, then will veto everything that HE thinks is Pork , no matter who or how many want it passed, with not a single shred of what he will do in specifics to accomplish what he promises. It criticised congress as having lost its way and forgot about their reasons for going, and becoming corrupt , but failed to address REAL ethics reform or even mention the lobbyists that foster those problems.

McCain did nothing to change my mind about him, and did not impress.

Actually , watching Cindy McCain during the convention , I think that she is one of the driving forces behind this run. I think she may just be looking for some payback for 2000, and once they get in, watch out Old guard Repubs..
