The Phonetic Sarah Palin

An oddity from the prepared text of Palin's speech [emphasis added]:

Terrorist states are seeking new-clear weapons without delay

I didn't look in time to see if it was rendered this way on the teleprompter but I assume this spelling was designed to prevent her from a mockery-inducing Bush-like pronunciation of "newkyuler."

I feel so much safer knowing she'll protect me from the recently built see-thru weapons. Maybe that's why we couldn't find these in Iraq, they're clear.

Can we really refer to it as "her" speech when it was actually written by GOP honchos a week ago (and rehearsed for a week?)

Meet the new puppet - same as the old puppet...

It is a little troubling that Palin is the only one reading prepared speeches. :loopy: :clown:

Not just prepared - written by a party kahuna (unlike Obama, who writes most of his own speeches.)

She delivered the red meat lines on domestic policy and character well, but her foreign policy lines were deer-in-headlights cringe worthy. I was waiting for her to say, 'if Georgia falls, South Carolina could be next'.

I would hope so - she rehearsed the speech for a week.
