I haven't seen enough of Russell to have much of an opinion but I give Hodge credit as he doesn't just roll over and say what the ultra-PC ESPN network wants them to say.

Because of the Limbaugh/McNabb episode ESPN appears to have definitely put pressure on most of their folks to suck up to any QB of color. To Hodge's credit he has been critical of Vince Young's ability to throw the ball at the NFL level and to this point has been spot on.

I can appreciate someone that gives their honest opinion and doesn't let someone elses agenda sway that opinion.

Our D is not that good to hold teams to 3 pts good or bad teams. Unless we get true pressure on QB or score lots of points on O every game this year will be a battle.

I think Russells speed or lack of same will be an advantage for us, when we get pressure on the QB it is typically only from one guy, so if the QB is quick enough he can usually step around it. Russell with his porous excuse for an offensive line and generally inept ball catchers should have a hard time with Dumervil.

How would you even know fata$$? You can't break down ability anyway and there Russell hasn't played enough to know whether he is a bust or not. Croyle has shown nothing and nobody will be surprised if he is out of the league in a couple years.

You forget that the Raiders have Kwame Harris as their LT. If the Broncos can actually slow the run a bit then Dumervil should have a field day getting after Russell.
