They can compete with my Caps as the worst team in the NHL.

Hey at least they will have cap room next year when the lock-out ends and they put in a Salary cap right?

Dude, Sharks are the worste team, no way you guys can top us in futility. HELL, the moto during our games is, if we can't win the game, win the fight. We lead in penalty min.

Besides the cash, it's not like they gave you anything.

he better be! for all that jack we are paying him - :)
nah, 18 yrs old - that's alot of pressure i'd have to give him a few yrs.
i notice that more and more rookies are getting time to play though with teams -not like more in the old days where only a phenom rook get major time to contribute

Our goaly is a freakin wall! If we had ONE halfway decent line we might win a few, but im looking to go winless. Beat that!

I'm sorry to see the Sharks fall from grace so fast (although I'm not sorry that Selanne ended up in an Avs uniform ;)).
In the 2002 playoffs the Sharks were a game away from beating the Avs and moving on to the Western Conference Finals. They lose games 6 & 7 by the narrowest of margins (2-1 in OT and 1-0, thank you, thank you, thank you Peter Forsberg) and it all went downhill from there.
Nabakov & Stuart start the season on the sidelines with contract issues. When they do get them back, both struggle and the team right with them. Sutter gets fired, Nolan gets traded, Lombardi gets fired, Selanne leaves via UFA......all in the course of one calendar year.
But don't feel too bad SJ, the Mighty Flukes of Anaheim aren't faring much better, and they actually came into the season with championship aspirations. Giguere has come crashing back to earth and they've hitched their wagon to Sergei Fedorov.....someone who is looked upon to be "the main man" in Anaheim, when he's never been in that spot in his entire career. reality is biting them in the but-tocks this year.
And I agree, M.A. Fleury is a stud. If they ever put a team in front of that kid (if they can ever afford to anyway) they'll go places.
