THATS COMPLETE BS.

If the democratic party could put out a decent candidate for once.......i might even vote for them if i thought they were better qualified for the job. But when you have the likes of Gore, Kerry, Obama, Hillary, Kuchinich, Edwards, etc.... as your best people its quite comical.

Like i said in other posts.........i put national security well above and beyond anything else (Economy, illegal immigrants etc....)

The economy is important, but if you dont have national security, you dont have any economy.

What makes you think that Obama can hang with the big boys in other powerful countries? They all know he is a noob and they will be able to push him around.

Reading your posts, it's clear that you wouldn't recognize 'decent' if it bit you on the backside.

You come off like a kid who doesn't really understand the issues and who is merely trying to be accepted by the willfully ignorant, redneck "grownups" around him.

How old are you, anyway?

14?

Bingo. It's not looking good for the Republicans to take back the Congress...at least in my district. The Republican candidate in my House district is not doing a very good job getting her name out. Maybe things will be different as we go into September-October, but I'm not holding my breath.

No, things aren't looking good for the GOP.

Not so much that I would vote for Bush, but I would vote against Obama. Just like this year, I'm voting for Sarah Palin for VPILF.

Dems put up a guy that I can live with, like a Lieberman or even an Evan Bayh, and I would have to think long and hard about it. And that would even be this year, running against McCain.

Golly. I would vote for Obama over William Ayers, Bernadette Dohrn, Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, the guy in Rhodesia, Noam Chomsky, Ward Churchill, David Duke, and Timothy McVeigh. Oh yeah, and the Rev. Jim Jones.

As between Obama, Teddy Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, John Kerry, George McGovern. Gerhard Scroeder, Al Gore--its a push. It really wouldn't matter.

But most anyone else would win in this household.

To me they are both flawed just Obama is a socialist, and Bush isn't a conservative and poor communicator.

Scary is how the democrats nominated a Acorn agitator, un-experienced freshmen senator with the furthest left wing voting history during these difficult times.
It is troublesome the lack of quality leadership available to run the best country in the world.

Now if the poll asked who would you vote for Ronald Regan or Obama, then it would be a landslide like it was in the 80's all over again.

really...wtf you need to get 70% to wipe the floor with someone now? 9 point win and carrying 44 states is "just barely having a chance?"

My point is that after seeing the incompetence that was the Carter administration the public was going to go with the Republican candidate no matter who we put up. Bob's Mom could have been the Republican candidate and she would have won by at least 5 points. Minimum.

then why in the hell was he reelected by 18 points and won 49 states in 1984? Yeah of course Mondale was weak as hell, but nobody wins that kind of landslide unless the people think he's doing a great job. And Mondale wasn't any weaker than Kerry, who made it close enough to get folks to whine about cheating (again). Also, 41 was pretty f'ing weak but won off of Reagans coattails.

bottom line is if it werent for the 22nd amendment, Reagan couldve won another 45+ states in '88, couldve announced alzheimers in '91, and still wouldve beaten Clinton in '92.
