He stated that if it requires surgery it will be career ending. Too bad, great player. Just posted this for all those who have yet to get over us not picking him.
Now is the time to sign him, I am sure we can get the "Injury" discount

Heh, yeah...I was looking for the pic as well, but had a PM come in so just shot the note. Sportscenter had it as part of the lead.

Sounds like ESPN overhype machine running amuck again. Kind of like the way they are talking up Zona's QB play tonight while failing to mention it was against our 2nd and 3rd string D. I am sooo sick of ESPN. Wish somebody could/would step up and do it right. Heck, you could start up a pretty sweet set of broadcasters just by picking up the good guys they have run off or that have been let go. I do think that it will be interresting to see how soon Reed will try to play. He sounds a lot smarter than Roidiman about what matters in life.

Wonder how you get that? Laying the wood too much? Just too many impacts?

kyle boller done for the season too. that might actually win them a couple games, maybe culpepper will get a job.

It could come either of the things - a big hit that his body/neck/spine took at the wrong angle, to number of "car crash" like impact he had from playing football. Or he could have injured himself training with weights incorrectly

that does suck
Ed was the second best Cane saftey ever,Sean Taylor was #1 in my book.
Many on here didn't get (and still don't) how important it is to have an above average safety. Not just a hitter but a game changing, playmaking safety.
People can call me a whiner for the Leile vs Reed debate, but the facts speak for themselves. Ed Reed is more well known that Ash.
Shame that his career could be over. Nerve damage is a hard thing to live with on a day to day basis.

Damn Ed Reed is the truth.
See if he had played for a defense like us where they didnt have to be on the field 99% of the time his body would be fine.
