Hannity, Malkin, Beck, O'Reilly, Rush, etc. have been on the airwaves the last couple of days blathering about the Greek architecture of the set the Dems would use at Mile High. They were calling it the "Temple of Obama." So I've been dreading this, thinking, "Oh ****, that would be a mistake." Then, I watch the speech and I'm laughing. It's FEDERALIST ARCHITECTURE you bufoons! Ha!
You know, Federalist like Monticello, and Mt. Vernon, and the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. Gawd, are these people really that ****ing stupid?

You are sort of wrong. Federalist architecture was prominent in the the late 1780 to early 1800's. It was directly copied from the Greek style. It is really early American take on Greek architecture. England at that time was using the Gothic type architecture. America wanted to show a stark contrast so they copied the Greeks who were known to empower the people.
I would agree with you though to make a big deal out of it when McCain owns 100 houses and doesn't know it is silly. That's politics though.

I believe the point was that Insannity, O'Liely, et al, don't know the difference.

He's sort of right too. Federalist design included a lot of things we think of when we picture Washington D.C. Clean lines and classical design elements. The eagle was also included heavily in some Federalist designs.
Unfortunately I can see somebody picking this up and running with it even though it would probably be the flimsiest argument against Obama to date.

The square entablature all along the back was pure Federalist. So were the straight columns. The point being is that it is purely an American expression. They also took another invention of the Greeks, democracy, and made it their own.

I don't know what's worse, listening to any of those people on any subject, or arguing about what they say.

right federalist architecture is Greek style that's the point. I'm not architecture expert though. I think the main point is that Obama did go a little over the top. Probably not a big deal though people are really sick of the Republicans right now. I don't think it makes someone stupid to look at that set and say wow that reminds me of a Greek temple. It did look a bit like that.
Besides it's good to be king!!!!!
