They aren't going to hose up our field tonight are they?

I love that the Chi-town News guy referred to Invesco as "Mile High"!

I guess this is why Bowlen wanted a new stadium?

Surely GODdell must see this and consider Mile High for a SB!

Barack did it as well last night when he appeared on stage.

I didn't watch. I found some cool German epic show (HEIMAT) on DVD at the library and watched that instead. I am not a political person, too much special interest for me and my vote to make any meaningful change.

If they ever make any special interest reforms I might get back into it but until then screw 'em all.

I do wonder if he will check out John's locker in the gift shop though.

I have been there with 75,000 socialist hippies. Its called CU/CSU. Lots of refer and it has withstood the test of time. This weekend is tough though. We have elite hippies tonight and apprentice hippies for Sunday. The stadium will survive but contact highs will be high in the area!

Thats how the airport has been all week. I counted 15 bomb dogs just on the A-Bridge itself.

Just like all those bible belt dolts that burned all those Beatle albums?

Get a group of people together with some sort of ideaology/dogma and they are going to burn something.

I much prefer Fascism over commies, as long as I am not the one going to the gulag.

I loved it this morning on Good Morning America when they said Mile High was primarily a Rock Concert Venue. Uhh...This is just shameful political pandering, I hate it when either party does it and the nearly orgasmic Godlike references democrats shower Obama with makes me sick.

The stage is patterned to remind people of the Lincoln Memorial, where MLK gave his "I have a Dream" speech (I think 44 years ago today). Which by the way has a classic greek look to its structure. I guarantee you Obama won't appear in a toga.

At any rate that won't stop the FAUX news agency from repeating this rediculous Greek temple BS, and of course CNN , NBC, ABC and CBS will repeat it also as they won't want to be SCOOPED.

The propaganda arm of the Republican media machine is in full swing.

I have been watching the Convention on CSPAN , which makes NO commentary. I Get MY opinion, then I flip over to watch the spin from the different agencies. It has been pretty rediculous on both ends, but watching FOX or MSNBC is a waste of time.:spit:

As someone who identifies as a socialist, i think its funny people think Obama is one. You guys are forgetting that the neocon tax cut machine ran straight out of control and off a cliff. Economic disparity is the highest its been since the 1920's and it has had horrible effects on the economy (since the middle class isn't spending). Obama wants to tax the rich (middle class wont get bothered) and the tax rates he is proposing is no different from the ones under reagan.

So Socialist, my ass. Just a democrat.

:Broncos:

You have to look at the companies that OWN those networks.

In general they have all tried to put their own spin on things, but none have been impartial. I don't care about what their talking heads tell me I should think or how I should feel. They all try to tell me what they think it all means, and none of them have hit the mark yet. They also don't give any TV time to half the speakers or cut in to "analyse" what they think is important. One of the best speeches yesterday was given by the gov of Montana...and he got no coveragt by the nets. Thats why I watch cspan...no commentary and gavel to gavel coverage

Go back and re-read his tax package again. Rich will pay a lot more tax, everyone else will just just pay more. It'll just hit you in a different way than you think! It's in his plan...just very well disguised!

And you think it's just the large corporations that get the tax breaks? There are more middle class people that own corporations than there are large corporations. So, the corporate tax break that is going to be undone by Obama will hit the middle class even harder.

So enjoy the tug of war within out own borders that nobody wins and we the people always gets the short end of the stick.

You need to re-read his tax plan. The middle class will get a tax break if anything. THeres actually a website that calculates this stuff for you based on Obama's plan. The rich will get taxed more (as they should) and its not alot by historical standards...as said, its the same as reagans.

And any small businesses that will get taxed are "small businesses" making over something like 250,000. (and youre talking, as said, to a socialist that doesnt mind paying higher taxes.) But the idea that the middle class will see a tax increase is a myth.

Why anyone, seriously ANYONE, would want to continue with the bush failed policy is just f'n crazy.

And let me tell you, most of us at this age are not bitter, nor are we senile. We've lived enough of life to be aware of what we missed in the past. We are at a point in our lives that we are truly enjoying life. You wish you had as much knowledge and awareness.

still it's better than 75,000 neo-con fascists. Forget a joint burning the place down, the bonfire from book burning would surely destroy our beloved stadium.

Ok, rant off....As long as our field is healthy by Sept 14th, I'm a happy camper! ;)

Hmmm. Seems you received the "Obama will raise everyone's taxes" email.

(The email can be seen here: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/taxes.asp)

Snopes does a good job of breaking the numbers down, but if you really want to dive in here is the link to The Tax Policy Center's 58 page PDF file on the candidates proposals:

Here is a summary of their research on the two proposals:

These numbers originated from the Tax Policy Center (http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/index.cfm) - a very highly respected independent and non-partisan group.

Next time some right-wing idiot tries to tell you Obama is going to raise your taxes, you can show him (or her) this.
