Book it. CNN reports that Pawlenty cancelled tv appearances and print interviews....

Typical McCain move and a yawner.

I won't take any bets on it, but I think it's Romney-

This guy supported McCain in Minnesota's caucus... and Romney won by almost 20 points.

If this is true, this could be the one of the worst VP picks ever.

The only choice that can help him is Romney or Clinton.

No matter who he picked, it will be a snoozer and it would offend part of the party. It doesnt matter because mccain isnt the one under the microscope anyway.

Pawlenty is a safe choice for many Republicans that still aren't on board with McCain. Hey, the guy won in Minnesota so he isn't exactly Charlton Heston here. He's got some crossover appeal or he couldn't have won in Minnesota.

Plus, the Upper Plains is where the real battleground is this year - Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri. Throw in Ohio and you've got the part of the country both candidates will need to get elected. They were all very close in 2004.

I hope this is true, it'd be the single worst pick he could make.

Pawlenty won't even bring him his home state of Minnesota. Fun fact, Jesse Ventura, former governor of Minn., has said that if McCain choses Pawlenty he's full steam ahead campaigning for Obama. This from a very conservative independant who endorsed Ron Paul previously.

Why? Because Pawlenty's deputy gov. was in charge of the DOT in Minnesota when that bridge collapsed, after Ventura told her on numerous occasions that it needed to be fixed. She steps in as gov. if he leaves to be VP.

Way to find one of the few standing politicians who can't even deliver a single state Johnny Mac.
