IMO, the Republicans nominated the wrong candidate. They went with the "next guy in line" mentality, instead of someone who could take the Republicans down a road of fiscal responsibility. Therefore, I AM bracing myself for an Obama presidency. If it doesn't happen, it will be due to the incompetence and inexperience of the Obama campaign and will just be flat out funny...

great post!!!!! This is how I feel. I just want the country to do well. If as Americans we all work hard, try and help people, we can thrive no matter who is President.

Spend more time helping people and your community and less time whining and crying about stuff.

Get off your asses and volunteer to help some kids, tutor, help old folks, pick up trash, fix vandalism, give to charity. There is so much you can do to make your country better but just voting isn't enough.

To many Americans feel they can just vote and then don't have to do anything else. They sit around waiting for politicians to make the country better. It's not up to them America has always been about the citizens.

Wish I could agree. Bush has driven this country into the ****hole. You can do all the small scale community stuff you want, and that's a great thing, but the big picture still dictates the overall health of the country. Primarily, I see that thirty years, more or less, of voodoo economics has done everything for the top five percent and very little for the rest of us. A continuation of the neocon policies under McCain will simply bury us deeper in the ****hole. This country needs a new direction. I'm not sure Obama is the man for that, but at least he will completely change all the people running this country. Who knows, maybe it can be a fresh start?

I really shudder to think what a McCain/Leiberman country is going to look like. Primarily, I suspect it means war, and more war.

If I were the "decider" of the next Republican candidate for president, I would have chosen Tancredo, Hunter, or maybe Fred Thompson. There were options, but the Republican establishment didn't want to go in that direction.

fair enough but you should still be out helping other Americans when you can.

Also I disagree it's the people living here that make the country what it is not the govt.

True we need better leadership this time around. We need fiscal moderation. Bush was a bad President, he spent too much and did to little for us. We need less war, alternative energy all that stuff.

I just think McCain is better to do that. Obama is all talk and has never done a thing. I don't like his connections with people who hate on the country like Ayers and Wright.

Fiscal moderation??? How does anyone who supported Mr. Dumb**** dare to talk about fiscal "anything". The next president has to clean up the mess Dumb and Dumber created with their "put it on the credit card" policy.

I don't know how anybody can legitimately believe that McCain will do anything at all about alternative energy. He's been opposed to offshore drilling for years. Then, Big Oil invites him to Houston, stuffs his pockets with money, and he comes out the spokesman for offshore drilling. How do you reconcile that crap? I don't like the Rev Wright stuff either. It's the exact line of bs this country doesn't need. And I'm not wild about Obama either. But I'm beginning to think he will bring in new people with new ideas to turn this country into a new direction. I think McCain will be more of the same old **** we've been watching for eight years.

I'm totally ready to embrace Obama as my President if he wins. If he wins I hope he's the best President that ever was. Hopefully Republicans won't go on another witch hunt. The fact repubs said they went after Clinton because he lied, was immoral, were going to clean up white house, then all these repubs get caught with young boys, coupled with the fact they spent a lot of our money IMO, adds up to the Repubs deserving to lose. If Obama wins the Republican party has only itself to blame.

Radical Islam didn't allow the DEA to wiretap my cell phone without a warrant for two years.

Bush did.

Radical Islam didn't change our governmental budget from one running a $100B surplus to one running $500B in the red.

Bush did.

Radical Islam didn't deregulate energy trading to enable Enron and big oil companies to game the system and artificially inflate prices, gouging the American people under a false guise of "supply and demand".

Bush did.

Radical Islam didn't drag us into a war with a sovereign nation that had no WMDs and nothing to do with 9/11.

Bush did.

Radical Islam was one factor in why a small group of terrorists hijacked planes and crashed them on American soil. But the organizers of that event are still at large. Why are they walking free in the flimsy border zones of northern Pakistan?

Because Bush didn't care.

Wake up man, you've got a GOP hand so far up your ass you don't even feel it puppeting you around.

Like Bill Clinton said last night, for the first time, Americans have had the chance to experience what the GOP would do if they gained control of the WH and the Congress and were able to actually implement the agenda they have been talking about for the last 25 years.
