From the Washington Post:

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/08/the_case_against_joe_biden.html

On cross cultural understanding:

"I've had a great relationship [with Indian Americans]," Biden said. "In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking."
Even more elite:

...in response to a question about where he went to law school and what sort of grades he received, delivered this classic line: "I think I have a much higher IQ than you do.":notworthy

Thanks. I'm not miserable. I enjoy working hard, paying my bills, earning what I have, and helping my communitty improve itself. Every day is a blessing.

LOL Now why would I be offended? Two thumbs up on Borat, I used to confuse him with Obama. That didn't happen to you, did it?

That is Kurdistan, and no it isn't one of the 56 states. It is south of Georgia, a national but not soveriegn area of Eastern Turkey and Northern Iraq. These were the people abandoned in the days of Monica Lewinski's internship. fmr Pres Carter ignored Capuchea, fmr Pres Clinton had the Kurds.

You must have felt horrible when Bush 1 coerced the Shiites in the South of Iraq to rebellion and then stood back while Saddam wiped them out. I seem to remember Clinton ordering relief supplies flown into the Kurds. Something about pallets being dropped from aircraft. Wasn't that Clinton that ordered that?

Operation Provide Comfort was in 1991. The Kurds were gassed by WMD that didn't exist in 96 and 98. Fmr Pres Clinton did order airdrops in Bosnia, though. Even Sen Clinton supports keeping US troops in Iraq now to support the Kurds until the region is more stable.

Of course you must know that there is no single Kurdish entity. There are Kurds who allied themselves with Saddam and there are still Kurds allied with Iran, as well as some who consider the U.S. their friends. I'm also sure that you know that the helicopters and the gas Saddam used on the Iranians and the Kurds were supplied by the U.S. on the orders of Raygun.

Not that it has anything to do with Sen Biden, but since you seem almost as smart as Joe, you do understand that fmr Pres Carter greenlighted Saddam Hussein to attack Iran in 1980? Now you have opened the door for Carter/Obama comparisons. It is a slippery slope.:approve:

Imagine if only Ike had told BP to go **** themselves instead of ordering the CIA to overthrow Mossadeq? Maybe we set up channels of cooperation with the Mossadeq government that last to this day and there is none of this misery, pain, death and war caused by oil company greed manipulating the U.S. government and using the military for their own ends. Maybe the CIA doesn't teach Nasser's Egyptians how to torture prisoners who later morph into the Muslim Brotherhood, assassinate Sadat and eventually become Al Queda who on 911... you get the picture.

Well, Ike wan't a lawyer and had only somewhat more international relation experience than Sen Obama currently does. Was it pure jealousy driving Howard Dean to throw Hillary under the bus? How can we solve global problems when we fail to pick any decent semblance of leadership?

I completely lost track of Sen Biden's proposal to break Iraq up into 3 countries. That would give the Kurds most of the oil and they would have to use the Georgian pipeline.

Too bad Biden has to travel by train from Scranton, PA to Wash DC where he is the Deleware Senator! Whose that other Dem Fla Senator that doesn't even rent in FLA?
