He wants to renegotiate the Colorado River compact?!?! He wants to take our water and send it to Arizona. That's alarming for anyone living in the state of Colorado for sure.

I heard this on the radio the other day. "Senator McCain's position on opening up the Colorado River Compact is absolutely wrong and would only happen over my dead body," Salazar said. "It's an anathema to the fundamental principles of Colorado's water rights and our compacts." One of the very few times I've agreed with Salazar.

Bad mistake by Mccain. He will win AZ so why piss off CO voters to gain more margin of victory in AZ. Maybe he is to freaking old.

This is basically a vote killer for me. I read this the other day. Sorry McCain. I think I'll vote for Barr or Obama

I haven't voted for a Democrat for president in 20 years. This year....we'll see...
The fact that the "pork" is already starting with this announcement is troubling.
Seriously?
I mean damn.
Doesn't he realize Colorado is one of the three or four big swing states this election?
Makes you wonder what kinds of rewards he's got in favor for his home state and his pals at the expense of their neighbors that they've been afraid to mention.
We can guess one already, no nuclear waste through AZ on its way to Yucca, detour that **** through Colorado and Utah. Not in John boy's back yard.

Wow. Talk about walking off the beaten path and right into a land mine. Water rights isn't even on the political landscape (ever) and yet he still managed to blow his own political leg off. If you bring up water rights in the west you have to realize it instantly becomes a top five issue.

It should be renegotiated. Colorado keepues all its water and kicks out anybody not native born. Oh, it isn't really a state. I thought it was on of the 56. We need better infrastructure in this country, we could learn alot from Venezuela.

You'd think the GOP would have a huge problem with this, after all, isn't it redistribution?
I mean they **** a brick if there is even a remote implication of financial redistribution, but water, the most valuable of resources, I'm sorry but you just have to play by their pinko commie rules.
Damn redistributionists.

LOL thats what I was hinting at ........people chose to move to the desert , it isnt the people in Colorado fault these people moved where there isnt enough water , People that moved to AZ made a bad choice , they should have to pay for it ,after all it is Colorado's water .......people like Mo are Idiots and should pay the price for thinking moving to desert is a great Idea
