I know he is aging, and has lost a step. But for the price we could get him for.....i dont see why we should go after him! We lost the veteran leadership of Lynch....and granted we still have Bailey, But Law could be a perfect fit for those nickle/Dime packages and brings veteran knowlege with him.

Any thoughts?

Wow I thought this would be a joke. CB is the least of our worries why on earth would you even think this is worth looking at.

Starting CB's i agree......backup? Foxworth isn't very good in my opinion. Paymah is ok....but not great. If we could get him really cheap (im talking little more than league minimum) I think we should. Even if we try to move him over to FS.

Law is so done. I would only do this if we lost some guys at safety to injury and he would agree to a position change. Otherwise, bleh.

you guys really think law is worse than foxworth as a nickel back? or a back-up FS? Nothing against your opinions, I guess i jsut dont see Foxworth as being good.

well then if you guys dont want him you better start voting on yes....because Shanny seems to do the opposite of what everyone wants LOL

Your nickel has to be quick and fast. Law is neither and he also peeks in the backfield too much because he's only concerned with jumping routes. He would be horrible.

He's terrible. Slow as John Lynch. His tackling sucks, too.

Ok.... I'll give you that.... when i was referring to Law though it was more for the veteran presence we lost with lynch. I mean hell no one thought lynch was still a great Safety the last few years.....but we all loved him for what he brought to the table with leadership, and experience. Just figured we could get that with law for practically no money. (even is he didn't really play) that maybe we could use him as a cover safety in the Nickel.

I clicked yes when I meant to click it depends... d'oh! Orange and Blue, you're not too high on Foxworth, but I think its pretty clear the coaches like him. There will be no law on the Broncos.

Somehow I don't think Law will provide any veteran leadership. The guy only cares about money. However, he's probably an upgrade over Poole.

For me, with a potential signing like this it would come down to:

a) would he take near the vet min.

b) is he better than the 53rd best player on our roster

If the answer it both is yes, than the team is better with him. I'm not sure what the answer to "a" would be, but I would imagine the answer to "b" is yes. Nothing wrong with insurance, especially when it costs next to nothing.

DB isn't a need? No, its not. But we're not looking too crash hot if one of our starters goes down. And Bailey, has had recurring hamstring issues in the last year or two.

Shouldn't he be headed back to NE if he's worthy of blue-hair consideration? They're the best at execution on that front...

Yes he is a leader but not sure if he counts as a veteran. I do hear people praising him so maybe bringing the savior in could be a good leadership role.

Law was done the moment the league stopped allowing CBs to mug receivers.

He was never a good cornerback. He was a great mugger.

If we are looking at changing anything at this point it better be dline or Lb'er period.

Law was a hasbeen his last year with the Pats, everything after has just been progressively worse. I'd sooner resign Lenny Walls than bring in Law. Thankfully we have a nice young talent pool at CB behind our two standout starters so this will never happen.

Also by most accounts he wants fat money to sign with anyone. Just about as "not worth it" as it gets.

this move would make no sense being that we just rid ourselves of an aging, slow leader who could have played in nickle packages (if those packages need slow run stoppers)

is Darrell Green available?

As a safety I would say why not? Let him compete, and if he plays better let him have a spot...

You know, the sad truth is that Mr. Green at 50 might be able to beat Ty in a foot race...

Man, for 19 years he was able to play and keep his incredible speed for about 17 of those years...
