...and close observers in general, I suppose.
Managed to catch a semi close-up from the Dallas game (closest you can get for o-linemen), and Hamilton looks a good 15-20 lbs heavier. Anyone else notice this?
Campers that have seen close action for years, have you noticed the same this at year's camp?
Do we have any articles saying he was bulking up during his year long IR vacation?
...or am I way off?

I heard him talking the other day and he was saying that he weighed in at 286 when camp started. If anything, he may be lighter than normal.

Being in the UK I've never been close enough to Hamilton to answer your question, but i do remember talk last year that he was being asked to bulk up a bit given that the emphasis on the line was moving more to pass pro.
He's always been one of the lightest linemen in the league so it wouldn't shock me, and to be fair as he spent a year out with concussion the one thing he probably would have been able to do was hit the gym and bulk up.
i've said before I don't think we want a dallas/philly line of 320lb behemoths but if the majortity of the line were at or above the 300lb mark I'd be happier than I was in previous years when we averaged about 290 lbs/man.
having said all that though, no I can't say myself if he has bulked up or not!

Well that clears that up, Oskie. Thanks. Maybe just a funny camera angle.

The dork from NFL Network was standing behind me when Hamilton was warming up. He was telling his camera crew to make sure they got a shot of "#50", "He's a technician, one of the best in the league. He'll drop his anchor, lock his elbows in, and stone even the best DTs in the league." That had me laughing. Yes, he is a tech. and yes he is fundamentaly sound, but Hamilton has never been too good in pass pro. Run blocking, yes... pass pro...ehhh. The dude was also talking about his weight. He said something along the lines of these small guys or the under 300 club or something like that. Either way, it was clear he was under 300 lbs!

I agree with everything he said. Everyone gets beat occasionally--Hell, Flozell is huge and great and still restorted to trying to brain Thomas with a helmet!-- and when Hamilton does it's completely overblown.
