I post this mostly because I remember one of you saying you'd vote for Obama if he made Clark the Veep. I suspect you'll vote for him anyway but it sure looks like Clark is not in the running for Veep.
It won't be Clark.
It won't be Edwards.
He'd have to have a death wish to nominate Hillary.
Say, isn't Colin Powell jumping on board the Obama bandwagon? Who needs Clark if you have Powell?

According to what source(s)?
Link?
In any event, Powell is damaged goods since selling himself to the Bush Crime Family.

That would be me. He was my dads commanding General. He ruined a ton other careers to get to the top and is widely blamed for foreign relations among military allies deteriorating when he was the Commander in Europe. The guy is a joke.

General Hugh Shelton would say of Clark during his 2004 campaign that "the reason he came out of Europe early had to do with integrity and character issues, things that are very near and dear to my heart. I'm not going to say whether I'm a Republican or a Democrat. I'll just say Wes won't get my vote,". Shelton never elaborated further on what these issues were.
Clark pissed off a lot of powerful people with his arrogance and ruthlessness.

Sometimes the military has to make the other side think they are crazy enough to go all the way. If they ever think these dues will never fight, never go all the way, your military loses its luster.
I think this Sovi errrrrr Russian federation romp into Georgia is more about prestige and proving Russia will use it's military.
True there is a pipeline but Russia can't seize it because they would lose tons in the world banking market. Russia too invested in international trade to go totally crazy. I do think they proved a point though. The Russians are back and things are going to be different.

Well, if that passes for gravitas in the Dem party, so be it.

All sour grapes from his peers aside, I would rather have had Clark in charge of Iraq policy than the neocon pinheads who got us into the sh*t we're in today, that's for sure.

I wouldn't he was a horrid commander. He made lots of mistakes and then pinned them on others. Iraq would be worse than it is now if was in command.

Are you kidding me?
What evidence is there for that?
Even if one were to concede every one of your claims re: Clark's alleged mistakes, they wouldn't even come close to equaling the unprecedented disaster that is Iraq.

If Clark were commanding we would be attacking Iran already. Again I am biased from watching him first hand. So I might be one-sided.

Actually, just the opposite is true: Clark has been adamantly opposed to the neocon doctrine of pre-emptive war and to Bush's invasion/occupation of Iraq since the get-go.
If you read his book "Winning Modern Wars" you will see that Clark's views couldn't be more diametrically opposed to those of the neocons and Bush chickenhawks.

Even if you don't read the book, you would be hard pressed to produce any quotes or statements from Clark that would indicate he advocates attacking Iran.
It'll be Biden.

I never stated he said that. I just made a very broad assumption. Thats why I said I would just take your word for it. Not doubting you at all.

Man, I hope you're right. He's one of the few Dems who will fight fire with fire. He comes with facts ready and will put a boot in your ass if you try to BS him. He's the sort of attack dog with forgein policy cred that Obama needs.

No - he said that if Clark were running our Middle East policy then we would have already attacked Iran, or something to that effect (a claim which is totally unfounded and contrary to all availible evidence.)

No , you have to make the other side think you are sane , but willing to put your foot to ass if need be , you run around bullying everyone it will come back to bite you in the ass

I didn't serve under him my dad and all my friends dads did. But I saw first hand what he was like.
I made a very broad generalization though and LABF is right I don't have evidence to support that.

Back to the subject at hands- the Governor Tim Kaine of VA has been acting really weird lately like something is going on. The state Republicans have also started to attack him hard, for no apparent reason like they know something is up.
