The Jewish state has purchased 90 F-16I fighter planes that can carry enough fuel to reach Iran, and will receive 11 more by the end of next year. It has bought two new Dolphin submarines from Germany reportedly capable of firing nuclear-armed warheads - in addition to the three it already has.

Is this a new deal or from the 2006 deal to senf F-16's to the Isrealis? It was well advertised back then as well that these would be capable of a strike against Iran.

At any rate this is not new news. Iran has known for at least 2 years and maybe longer that Isreal was arming its air force with the capability of striking them and they have the open air space(Iraq) to get there.

It just wouldn't be right to not arm Israel. If we didn't want to prop them up we should have never let Britain talk us and the UN into giving them a country. Everyone knew they would probably have to fight for it now and then.

Really Israel can't afford these jets without our help. Also if they can't reach Israels enemies what good are they. I would be upset if they sold the jets not able to reach Iran what good would that do?

well technically those F-16s have an unlimited range if Israel has any refueling tankers which I can only assume they do.

This is fairly common pratice to sell the planes to other countries, while I was down at Eglin AFB I was able to watch the delivery of 2 brand new F-15s to saudi arabia. Sucks that they get newer planes than what we fly, our fleet is getting old really really fast.

I mean jeez, we're still using a bomber designed and built in WWII.

and as far as I know, they wouldn't be buying them from the U.S. military but rather from lockheed martin itself. Don't worry though, they do get the dumbed down versions of them.

cut off countries like Turkey who didn't cooperate during the war. Cut off Japan they have plenty of money. Cut off ever Muslim country except the ones that kiss our ass. Stop fighting the drug war and make them legal and save trillions.
