Hilarious! Excuse me, but I can't stop laughing. Remember when we had a surplus, back in 2000? Now Bush has bankrupted us and the Iraqis will soon be rolling in oil dough?
Forgive me, but this is one of the funniest goddamn things I've ever heard of in my entire life.
Vote GOP you ****ing retards!

Remember when we were going to pay for the war with Iraq's oil...

Yes but Iraqis will soon be spending that money. It is ironic though i agree with you. I read somewhere Iraqis set to spend 50 billion. We will see if they pull the trigger though they seem pretty cheap.

This morning on NPR they were talking about how members of Congress are asking the Iraqis to pitch in on building their own infrastructure, but the Iraqis are balking. Ha!
This just gets better and better. Of course, the best part will be when Bush and Cheney ride off into the sunset with millions falling out of their saddlebags. I don't know why I find this so damn funny. My wife says I have a twisted sense of humor. ;D

I guess when we botch our mission of getting out of this place, leaving all this cash behind some other country will broker a U.S. West kind of deal and they will sell their soul. In the end we won't even get a graveyard like they have in France to bury our dead.
I guess the next time we "have to" go to war the logic of spending them a couple of billion won't seem so odious.
Which is more horrifying the obvious truths we can never clearly discuss, the naked problems we ignore or the historic stupid that we continue to make.

The Iraqis claim that the bureacracy isn't in place to spend all that money. I'm willing to give them some time, but I do think they should start to reimburse us for some of the security and rebuilding that we've provided.

This is why we should have just taken their oil. :)
The GOP wants to turn Iraq into Israel part II. Another nation we can subsidize to excuse excessive military spending. Every year we spend hundreds of billions to trillions of dollars on military spending, only to upgrade already cutting edge equipment and give nations like Israel our hand me downs at basically zero cost.
They keep pleading poverty and that they need our help, we keep funnelling U.S. tax payer money into them. We're the rich uncle, but it just so happens that this rich uncle's company is downsizing and his investments just crapped the bed. Think we want to keep playing that role?

I've wondered how many US oil companies have drilling contracts in Iraq... In that sense 'we' did take their oil, but it really wasn't for 'us'...

This is also known as "stalling" which is what they are masters at.

Well considering that we've had to deal with them twice, it would only seem appropriate that they owe us. Of course every European Country owe us from WWII also and we forgave that debt.

Okay, how have 'we' benefited so far? Unless you're a commodities trader ???

It's either that, or have a revolution. I wouldn't mind one... I like hats. You CAN'T have a revolution without hats.

I wonder if it would balance out the US debt to Nicaragua, Haiti, Chile, East Timor, or the other countries we've tortured.
