After the last camp I attended last Saturday where Marshall made some freaky good catches (check the highlights on the team website. They're worth watching) I realized that he is in great shape and looking healthy. I am going to admit that my concern that Marshall wasn't going to be ready for the season (he might not be, actually, but for different reasons) because of his arm was wrong. The guy is balling. The Saturday before last he had some drops and had to put his protective sleeve on midway through the camp. I thought "here we go". However it's pretty clear at this point that by the time he plays (whether in Oakland or against New Orleans) that he's going to be ballin'.

Flip flopper.

j/k...Really, it's depressing though knowing he's not going to be around for the first two games, games in which he is sorely needed. I know you're thinking upset against Diego and I myself, am hoping for the RB's to run all day on Oakland.....but I wouldn't lay any cash on either if you know what I mean.

I was going to wait until he played some full contact games before saying anything, but it certainly seems pretty obvious that a lot of our resident injury experts were pretty off base on this one.

Score one for Denver's somewhat suspect training staff

Oh I know. There is yet to be a ruling. We'll see. My hope is that with the announcement that it's 2-3 that Marshall is letting the prospect of that stew within him and then hopefully the commish comes down with a 1-2 suspension and we can have him against the Boltz but he is more humbled because of it.

Well one person could man up. Congratulations, Kaylore. Remember to trust the medical specialists' words.

Let's see if you take the same stand on your declaration of Clady being the best tackle in the draft.;)

Quick recovery from his career-ending knife fight.

Oh, you mean this:

Anyway it's too early to say either way, but right now Clady looks he was the best bet - at least of all the picks in the top 15.

That's not saying he's the best tackle in the draft. It's saying at this point it appears he's the best because Williams and Albert are injured and Long is struggling something fierce in pass protection.

So let me leave no doubt right now and say that Ryan Clady will be the best tackle in the 2008 draft. ;D

B Marsh is a stud. The Raiders and the Bolts are praying they don't have to face him.

Marshall was a STEAL!, he has superb hands, he is big and he can flat out jump, he is fast and with the ball in his hands he is scary. Right now Deangelo Hall is praying that he won't have to play against him.

Kaylore, My thoughts exactly in regards to the 1-2 suspension. I think the NFL doesn't like stuff "leaking" and this will trump what Schefter reported. This would be ideal because for us to win against SD we need all weapons ready to go.

I really, really like Lane Kiffin as a coach. I even like some things the Raiders have done this off-season.

That being said, I look at that MNF game as a 5th pre-season game. Brandon can miss it.

Disclaimer on use of the word "like": By saying "like" I mean, I think there were some smart decisions on moving forward, and in turn, extremely DISLIKE them.

.

Yeah since Denver played them so well last year and were a TO away from getting swept.

Where's the "doctor" to tell us all about how sure he is that Marshall is going to miss the whole season?

Good point, oddly enough he has been MIA lately.

Interestingly, my oldest son plays football for Lane Kiffen's cousins. I've tried numerious times to get some insight into the relationship with Al Davis. Unfortunately, they just rolls their eyes and will not give details. I'll keep trying but I don't expect much.

Back on topic, I was quietly very concerned for Marshall's health but was tyring to keep it positive. I understand all the different viewpoints of fellow fans and posters so please let's not get into another debate. However, from a purely football perspective, Marshall could be a once in a decade type player. Hall of Fame possibly. He hasn't even scratched the surface of his true potential. To lose that type of player due to some BS accident would have truly sucked.

well in all fairness it was reported that long would be a better right tackle in the NFL he is a mauler that is good VS. the run but was suspect againt the pass
