Just heard it on the local news here in cleveland...... apparently the browns are interested in lynch if he would be willing to take a playing time/incentive contract. talks are in the early stages and nothing else is being reported at this time.

Just figured i would pass along the info.

I fully expect Lynch to end up in New England playing LB...

If he was going to take reduced playing time and salary, I wish it was with us.
What an unceremonious way for him to go out.

Tough to see guys like him go.

I just can't see him moving his herd of kids to Cleveland for a one year deal that would involve time on the bench. John you already proved you are the man. Retire and sail around the world dude.

Please retire, going to the Browns would be hard to see.

Unless guarenteed a full time starters job, I can't see him doing it.

Why would he want to be a part timer in Cleveland. That place sucks!!!

I doubt he goes anywhere that does not play 4-3 cover 2.

That was the reason he left the Broncos. He was told his playing time would be cut.......Doubtful he plays for any other team if you ask me.

Not sure it was just about the playing time He said in his press conference that he had come to terms that he may have reduced playing time but he said over and over "It is not the right situation here in Denver anymore" Question is what does that mean exactly?

My impression from the press conference was that he THOUGHT he had come to terms with it, but when it got to training camp and it was turning out just the way Shanahan had told him it was going to, he felt then that it wasn't the way he wanted to go through his last year.

Now, if he does sign with someone else and only plays sparingly, then maybe you could call it a condemnation of Denver. But I think he wants to see if he can play every down somewhere, and I don't think that is going to happen.

I think we'll be seeing a John Lynch retirement press conference before September.

Exactly. Why would he? How would that be different than here? He left so he could play every down. How would going to the Browns to contribute in a limited fashion help?

Right situation = more playing time. Listen to the press conference again. Rasizer asks him what that means and he basically says it's about his reduced role. Then the Bronco PR nixes the whole press conference before more can be said.
