On this board it takes some balls... There's another board I post at where its rather loosely moderated on the premise of promoting free speech (just no death threats). So this over there would be considered pretty mild...™

Isn't it great how liberals race-bait in order to accuse conservatives of race-baiting? More uppity liberals.

Yes, like when McCain put Obama on the $100 bill,
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CDTJDv4hevU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CDTJDv4hevU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
and accused him of not caring about U.S. troops,
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/49hC9TpP_rY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/49hC9TpP_rY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
then cried reverse racism when Obama says "Nobody thinks that Bush and McCain have a real answer to the challenges we face. So what they're going to try to do is make you scared of me. You know, he's not patriotic enough, he's got a funny name, you know, he doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."
Seems pretty spot on to me.

I don't think negro has an "e", Mr. Quayle. Ha!
Of course there is an undercurrent of racism to McCain's ads. Puhleeze. Two blondes and a black guy? What's the subtext there folks?

It can be spelled either way (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=negroe). With the "e" is the more archaic version, but the more insulting version as well.

I don't accept your source. In Webster's it only has the one spelling and the e is only added to the plural. I say we meet somewhere and fight it out. ;D

Pretty much, I've seen very few of his posts directed at Obama that don't carry some sentiment of racial or religious bigotry.

It's a shame, but this all plays right into the RNC's hands. The more this thing is about race, the better for them. IMO, it can only hurt Obama, not help him. The people that aren't going to vote for him because of his race have already decided that they aren't going to vote for him. He can't change that. By the pundits talking this up, and the NYT op eds running, this just stays in the forefront and it shouldn't. But hell, what do i know?

Hey, I VOTED for Obama. I'll bet a bunch of you commie-simps didn't do that. I bet you voted for that dwarf, Kookcinich.
If you're a liberal and you didn't vote for Obama, YOU'RE the true racists. YOU had the chance to vote for your Messiah and you turned it down. I'd say that's more racist than using satirical little nicknames.

I think Bill Clinton already brought that out. The only racism or even racist comments have come from the Democrat side of the aisle. This doesnt have anything to do with his color, but his policy. Democrats have shown in exit polls that color did matter when voting. Obama bringing out the race card when there hasnt been one is stretching it. Stick to the meat of the campaign and stop having people use some hard luck story. There isnt much of one and use your beliefs to get votes.

If it is coming from the south, could it be southern democrats? The preliminaries already showed us how votes were being cast by color and the issue was the Democrats prelims, not the republicans. LABF, dont tell me you didnt see any of the exit polls on who voted for whom and what color were they. VIrginia and Maryland were great examples. How can the Clintons get slaughtered by blacks when supposedly they were like their own during his 8 years. He even mentioned it so I dont get this info except from what was reported. But it was great to see the race matters on the dem side instead of being blamed for all that crap on the republican side. All I know is Obama isnt qualified and has nothing to do with his race.

http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/westmoreland-calls-obama-uppity-2008-09-04.html
Georgia Republican Rep. Lynn Westmoreland used the racially-tinged term "uppity" to describe Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama Thursday.
Westmoreland was discussing vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's speech with reporters outside the House chamber and was asked to compare her with Michelle Obama.
"Just from what little I’ve seen of her and Mr. Obama, Sen. Obama, they're a member of an elitist-class individual that thinks that they're uppity," Westmoreland said.
Asked to clarify that he used the word “uppity,” Westmoreland said, “Uppity, yeah.”
