Nice job, but I say that Beck and Martinez make the team, with Colbert and Green getting cut.

Boy, thanks for taking all the suspense out of it!

Oh, I also think that Ryan Harris Is going to have a "back injury" and will be put on IR for the year. That will allow us to put Polumbus or Alexander on the roster.

And Sapp will be cut in favor of Pittman, who will double as a FB/HB. To summarize:

Beck > Green
Pittman > Sapp
Martinez > Colbert
Polumbus > R Harris (IR)

I think there's still hope that Harris works out. Reports have said he's gotten better since the first few days.

I'm still holding my seat on the Martinez wagon and no crappy Colbert is going to knock that wagon off the road. If Colbert makes the team it'll be simply because he got a couple year deal and noone's heard of Martinez still but I don't think Shanny is THAT concerned with what people think of his moves to keep Colbert just to save face.

I think I heard that Mallard was doing some long snapping? If that's true we could cut leach and keep 6 WR, including Martinez. Or if Leach could play more in blocking situations we could cut Pierce and do the same.

Given the deal Colbert was given, I don't think he's here to prove he can "catch passes and dazzle" in camp. I think Colbert is here to catch the random pass while he figures out the offense and blocks his ass off. From what I've read, he's not really even gett'n that many reps with the first team.

Given the reports of how unspectacular Ramsey is, I'm sure he'll be given some slack. That being said, Marshall's consequences come down in the next couple of days. If he gets suspended I guarantee, Colbert gets more reps and probably improves in general. Shanny's offense isn't one that you just come in and absorb....I think he's a bit of a secret weapon for the run game.

Leach does quite a bit of ST so once I heard folks praising that not only is he the long snapper, but he's a GREAT long snapper... I kind of understood why he's held on. I was watching a game the other day where he had 2 or 3 ST tackles, he was all over.

Martinez does everything asked of him and seems to do WR better than Colbert too... Colbert doesn't do anything better than Martinez, from what I'm tracking.

I think Gandy makes it.

Also, is 6 LB average? Only one backup at each position seems low for a position that doubles into your ST workhorses.

Somehow I think they find a way to keep Larsen. Gotta start working on the MLB of the future or it has to be an early pick next year.

larsen is a goner, maybe PS, but no way he makes this squad

It's pretty hard to gauge until the preseason games but up to this point, here'd be my guess:

QB (2) - Shanahan usually keeps but 2 QB's, but Ramsey's been so god awful I'd think only Hackney would be kept. With that, they can (I believe) get Hackney back on the PS as insurance.

1) Cutler
2) Ramsey

RB (6) - The toughest position to gauge, I could see Sapp, Hillis or Pittman cut. Or I could see all making the team, it will depend on preseason.

3) Young
4) Sapp
5) Hall
6) Hillis
7) Torain
8) Alridge

WR (6) - The gap between the these WR's and the rest is huge.

9) Marshall
10) D.Jackson
11) Stokley
12) Royal
13) Colbert
14) Martinez

TE (3) - Pierce is getting a lot of work, but the Broncos have Mustard on the PuP list for now and are too deep elsewhere.

15) Graham
16) N.Jackson
17) Scheffler

OL (9) - Shanahan only keeps 8-9 OL each season, keeping Lichtensteiger as a project makes things tough for Alexander and Gandy. Wouldn't be shocked at all if Holland was let go and Polumbus is kept.

18) Clady
19) Hamilton
20) Nalen
21) Kuper
22) Harris
23) Holland
24) Pears
25) Lichtensteiger
26) Wiegmann

DL (9) - Mallard and Ekuban both make the squad to keep 5 DT's.

27) Dumervil
28) Robertson
29) Peterson
30) Engelberger
31) Moss
32) Thomas
33) Ekuban
34) Crowder
35) Mallard

LB (6) - Depth at other positions gets Beck cut and Larsen onto the PS.

36) D.Williams
37) Webster
38) B.Bailey
39) N.Koutouvides
40) L.Green
41) J.Winborn

DB (9) - Lynch's departure makes this pretty standard, R.Rodgers could push for a spot.

42) C.Bailey
43) Bly
44) Foxworth
45) Abdullah
46) McCree
47) Paymah
48) Manual
49) J. "MF" Williams
50) Barrett

ST (3) - My guess is they go with Paulescu who's been more accurate over Kern who's got the bigger leg.

51) Leach
52) Prater
53) Paulescu

[In response to Wolf's comment on Larson, Montrose butted in to our conversation :)]
And that's possible but they had to have seen something they liked pre-draft. If he's too slow to play the position, he was last year as well. I think he'd have to be pretty terrible to not even get any developmental time which could very well be on the PS.

The whole Martinez is doing well and Colbert isn't is worthless trash. They need to perform in games, preseason games. Colbert may perform better and Martinez might struggle. We have a list of receivers from the past that will back up what i'm saying....Madise, Watts, Hixon. Martinez imho has had enough time progressing in our system, if Colbert can perform to match Martinez in games, I'd give Colbert a chance and part ways with Martinez.

AFAIK players on IR cannot be cut/released. Has to be an injury settlement agreed and there's no way Denver will cut Powell until they've assessed his recovery from the achilles injury next year, they may well agree an inury settlement with Shepherd though.

Pretty spot on IMO although I dont see us carrying 3 centers. If Nalen is ok at the start of the season Wiegmann may well be cut or we may take a chance and put Lichtensteiger on the PS in the hope that he doesn't fit too many offences out there and wont get added to a 53 man roster. I reckon PJ Alexander will make the final 53 with the doubts at G over Hamilton and Holland.

I will bet a case of the MGD that Weigmann isn't going anywhere (unless injured)

32. DT Ebenezer Ekuban 6’4 275

That's an awfully light pair of DTs. Hope they are used except on passing downs.
